Underrated part of this trade is that Morris has been one of the best defenders on LeBron the past 5 years.

Morris this year looks like st least 90% of what Tobias Harris does on the court. Plus with aggressive mindset(thoug, should be in control)

Remembering him like 4th option in Boston behind horford, tatum, isaiah was neat.

Pg-Kawhi-lou-mook, 4 perimeter scorer is deadly in the playoffs.

Bev/Lou/Sham
Kawhi/PG/Morris/Green
Trez/Zu

Patterson

McGruder

Mann/Fi

Yeah, that looks pretty damn good to me. I'm ready to go to war with those 9 guys. Patterson can be decent for a game or two, Mann can give you a few minutes of hustle and defense, maybe even McGruder will remember that he is, in fact, a basketball player who we actually chased after.
Still think Fi should get some real minutes, while we can still afford to experiment. But I guess it would've happened by now if he was anywhere close to being NBA ready.

Going to be even harder now for Sham to find his shots, we have to make sure he's still an important part of our offense. Having him out there just as an average defender would be a huge waste. Of course it's also on him to keep making those shots.

I wouldn't mind signing Collison just to mess with the Lakers some more, but how do we even find minutes for the guy? Tough to sell him on joining just to be an insurance policy in case Bev or Lou go down, when those Rondo minutes are up for grabs right now.

And yeah, having another big would be swell, just not seeing any valid options out there, unless Cavs do us a huge solid with Thompson. We might just have to live with Green and Patterson as our emergency small ball options in case Zu or Trez are out. Although we do have those open roster spots, and we'll surely fill them both with all the load management and nagging injuries.

I'm excited.

Only Aldridge is reporting Thomas getting waived. The guy knows jack squat about what the Clippers are doing, If it isn't Woj, it is hard to trust.

Just going to register here that as long as Shamet remains a 40%+ threat from distance, they've got to guard him, spreading the floor for the other 4 guys. This was precisely the problem with Harkless. Even though he was hitting something like 40% from the corners, he was reluctant to take it, so they sloughed off on him.

BTW, just saw a stat that Shamet's hitting something like 68% on shots under 8 feet, i.e., attacking the basket, much better than last year. The threat to penetrate also keeps defenses honest.

Average D and a true threat from 3 will do just fine. He scored 8 or 10 points in the 4th quarter vs Miami the other night. That was more 4th quarter points than Redick used to score in a month. :D

Clippers have made no official comment on Thomas one way or another. There could be discussions between the parties behind the scenes. Morris and IT played together in Boston. Maybe the 1st thought was to waive him, but now they are reconsidering. Bring him to the practice facility and run him through the drills. No reason to dump him without kicking the tires.

I'm fascinated by the [potential] fake news aspect of this, that the lone source for Isaiah being waived is a single reporter, David Aldridge, yet this has been repeated as fact all over the internet by even credible gold-standard sources like Sports Illustrated.

Very sloppy work, even if they do end up waiving him.

Can't wait for the IT - Lou - McGruder - Morris - Trez "game thread death" lineup. :)

Why is the coaching staff not willing to give IT a chance?? With Pat Bev out indef. IT deserves a tryout. Why waive him so soon??!
