I’m frustrated with these 2 as well but ultimately you can’t pin it all on them. The FO are the ones who decided to feature two 3/4th options as go-to-guys and surrounded them with non-shooters. And Ownership is ok with the product because they know we can fall face first into the 8th seed.

The players on this team just aren’t good enough IMO and that’s not on them that’s on management. Evan seems like a cool dude but I hope we’re not the ones who break the bank on him

It was absolutely correct to not call timeout on the rebound. With only 1 timeout left, plenty of time, and only needing 2 points, you really can't blow your last timeout and put yourself in a spot where you have to inbound the ball with no timeouts. Especially when you're the worst late-game inbounding team in the history of the world. He has incorrectly called that timeout several times in the past and burned us almost every time. Ultimately, incompetence just ruled the day. incompetent Magic players, incompetent refs, incompetent fans (I'm living at home in my 30s). Too much to overcome.

There is no explanation imo....why go with two centers? khem birch is a G-LEAGUE LEVEL PLAYER.....how he's even seeing the floor is a question to me......any other team he'd be in a suit racking up DNP but not with clifford

He is setting those elite screens like no one else on this team though!

Someone mentioned it early but it looked like they were all disappointed that they weren't traded. I only watched the first quarter but that's the vibe I got.

What a difference a year makes. I remember last year when nobody was traded at the deadline, the team was hyped and came out playing as hard as they could. This year you can see the apathy. With the players being so apathetic, it is no wonder the fans feel the same way.

I'm pretty confident the same will happen again this year and we'll rally to close the season strong and get back to .500 or closer. Though last year our guys were out of the playoffs and fighting to get back in. This year they're already in the players and fighting to keep the spot. We'll see if they can find the same motivation to hold or even improve versus making it for the first time.

I remember last year at a similar time when everything felt do or die our guys were still dropping games to Chicago, NY and Cleveland after the allstar break, in between beating the likes of GSW and the Raptors. We'll probably maintain those levels of unpredictability this season, too.

Apparently deciding to stop watching the Magic a few games ago was an excellent decision by me, LOL.

We're a really bad team but at this point in the East there are somehow 7 worse teams. That's crazy. Let's take a look at all 7:

Bulls: similar to us, they've been trying to build for a while. Recent draft picks White, Carter, Markannen all look OK but not star or superstar territory. Tested out DWade. Still feeling that Butler trade.
Pistons: went all in on the Griffin trade and haven't been able to do anything since.
Wizards: lost their franchise player to injury and now handcuffed to that salary/player.
Hornets: lost their franchise player in free agency.
Knicks: not sure how to judge them, they seem super incompetent at every level (even though they just beat us). Even recent draft picks don't really excite.
Hawks: have an all-star (maybe superstar) in Trae. Whole team is super young and injuries/suspensions derailed this season. Reddish looks lost out there but Hunter, Collins, and Huerter have shown they will be contributors.
Cavs: lost one of the best players ever in free agency 2 seasons ago and are still rebuilding from that.

So out of all of those teams, the Knicks and Pistons are the only two teams that I'd argue are more dysfunctional than us. Everyone else is either only a year or two into a rebuild or recently lost their franchise player. The Bulls are interesting because their record is rough but I may rather have their roster over ours. Same with the Hawks. They both seem to have brighter futures with current players despite not showing it this year.

We are failing into a playoff spot this year. It's basically going to be gifted to us. Last year we had to fight which was cool but this year is ridiculous.
