Great genetics and discipline to stay in top notch shape for the majority of their careers.
Gotta throw my mans Clyde Drexler in there as well. He's no Frank but he was still putting up 18/5/6 with a 20 PER in his final season and a + across all advanced metrics at age 35

Re: Miami Heat Regular Season Thread Vol. Iggy
He really is. He is long and strong enough to guard likes of LeBron, Kawhi, and all those elite wings. He has great instinct and hands, and exceptional timing to slap the ball away from an offensive player with the ball. I mean Jimmy has all the similar traits but he has so much responsibilities offensively he could use a guy like Iggy taking up defensive assignments.
He just can't play 30+ mins on a regular basis anymore it seems like. If Spo can manage his mins (and I'm sure he will) he'll be productive for at least this szn and next.

Worth noting that Iggy played 30 mpg during GSW's 21 game yoff run last season, and that was after playing 1578 mins during the RS

Oh yeah Clyde the Glide, no doubt. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch from modern era as well. I'm just thinking of good looking players who are 6'5-6'7 200-220 lb "ideal NBA basketball figures" so to speak. Clyde definitely fits that bill. IIRC he was considered the closest to MJ at brief moment in his prime. Definitely an aesthetically pleasing player. Players like T-Mac and Paul George could be included but they kinda lack muscularity compared to the best of bunch.

Idk if we play Clippers again but I want to see how George and Leonard fair against Butler and Iguodala.IggieCC wrote:

I'm also eager to see how Bam, Iggy and Butler fair against Boston

Kerr really used Iggy wisely last szn I thought. Too bad the rest of his team completely collapsed instead lol

Yeah, that's the thing right? Of course no one stops players like Kawhi and PG, esp. Kawhi, but at least with Jimmy and Iggy out there defending those guys we don't have to rely so much on zone and get killed by freaking wide-open Shumet

Perimter defense going to be rock solid from here on out. I believe we will probably lose DJJ and Butler to injuries at some point, so having incredibly capable reserves is very handy.

Also will be nice from time to time to give Jimmy a day off. With the new depth, that is possible without putting to much pressure on rest of roster.
No need to rush Herro back now. In addition, I think lowering Nunn's minutes and usage could help him take another step forward

Not sure what you're suggesting concerning Nunn. Do you feel like he's been too high usage? I feel like he could probably be our 2nd or 3rd best iso type player.
