There are some names that are starting to get cut and I figured it was worth a thread to keep track of who's out there. I'm not great at keeping across all of these, but if you post a name I'll add it to this first post.

Isaiah Thomas is apparently a free agent and Marvin Williams just got signed by the Bucks.

Edit: clarification: Shams: Marvin Williams plans to sign with the Bucks.

One more clarification: The Clippers are believed to waive Isaiah Thomas soon, but haven't officially done it yet with an apparent nagging injury to Beverley + the belief that both Collison and Reggie Jackson will be available and interested in the Clippers.

Sorry about that.

I'm really hoping Ellington, Waiters, Harkless, Burke, and more decent perimeter players become available so that we have options before all the contenders scoop them up. We really need to add to our bench since we traded for Ennis. I guess we're now forced to try to double down on upgrading the bench since we're keeping these starters. Trying not to say anything angry or sarcastic about our starters. Really am.

Maybe we can get in on the action... and release Fournier.

Is it now certain the Magic signs Clark to the rest of the season? I say yes.

With only i belive 6 teams with significant cap space for next year ,it's almost a given that guys like Evan,Derozan, Porter , Drummond, Batum etc will pick up their player's options and not become FAs this summer.

Regardless of money, even if he opts out, there is just so little that Magic will be able to add next year from FA market.

Point guards:
Jeff Teague ( older, kind a bad nowdays)
Dragic ( will probably stay with Heat )
Reggie Jackson ( bad)
Knight -done
Vleet- will look for crazy money

SGs

Crabbe - sucks
Bazemore -sucks
Tyler Johnson - ok solid
Lee- will be 35 yeras old
Andre Roberson - definition of bad fit
Joe Harris- probably somebody Nets will keep around for Durant

SFs:
Turner- sucks
MKG -sucks
Solomon Hill - undersized
MO Harkless- hell no
Bertans - more of a streach 4 anyway
Jae Crowder- bench player or 5th starter

As i said 2 days before deadline, they probably though the same thing when they pulled off Evan from trade rumors. Why open cap space to end up paying Tyler Johnson or Solomon Hill , more years and similar ( or bigger ) money.

2020 summer is make it or break it for this front office because trades are only way they can get out of this mess.

I dont think 2020 is the year, maybe 2021 but given our youth i doubt it.
My personal priority for our team is trading AG and drafting skilled young wing player to develop. I dont think it will be that hard to do. I wonder if Dj will agree to resign on a veteran minimum deal. It would be good asset.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

2021 is also year where every single big market team positioned himself to have money....

I know i can get killed on this forum, but 2022 or 2023 looks like a year when we really try to contend. Gordon contract will be hopefully traded this offseason but if not he expires after 2021 season. Thats also the time when extensions of Fultz and Isaac kick in.
2022
Vucevic 22M
Ross 11,5M
Bamba 10M
Okeke around 6M ?
I predict we will resign Fournier for about 18M
I dont know how much Isaac and Fultz will cost us. Maybe similar to what AG got ? Lets say 18M each.
Thats 113,5M.
We will also have around 2 players on veteran minumums, maybe MCW. Thats 116M for 9 players. Thats a rotation. We will also have 3 first round pick guys and maybe some undrafted/2nd round guys. Thats around 125 M for 12 guys.
Salary cap will be propably around 125-130M, tax 150-160M. We will have around 25-35M of capspace and expirings of Vucevic and Ross. Much depends on Bamba development, he will be Vucevic replacement or cleared for capspace
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Green officially waived now. You can take the ? out. Another guy that, if healthy, could be a bench piece for us. We absolutely have to take advantage of this buyout/waiver market. We need to bring one of these guys in to finish the year at least.

The FO forced themselves into this position, you add a bench piece and now need to commit to building that bench. One bad player is not going to change things. If we're adding a bench piece to compliment our mediocre starters, you need to fill it out.

Why bring in some bench scorers when we have a guy that takes one 3 a game in the 8 minutes he plays?

You know, Nets gambled everything, missed out and crashed, became a joke of a team, hired new FO, rebuilt without picks and signed two superstars faster than we could... have no idea what we were doing or what we were trying to do all that time. We just started tanking before them and are basically in some limbo ever since.

Adding Dragan Bender to the list.

I'd like to see the Magic give him a shot off the bench as a shooting PF.

Man, go get Dragan Bender...position of need at the moment. Lots of questions but he can shoot. If things click, could impact our summer shopping/expendable list. I love AG but he's completely redundant with Isaac. Should've gone for some shooting on Thursday. Bender, at his best, is a floor-spreading bench Kevin Love-lite next to Bamba (or instead of?). At a buy out price...Why not? The Magic can now point to Markelle as the poster boy for our willingness and ability to patiently reclaim damaged goods.

Clark is a very good player for the deep bench. That Orlando needs him as a rotational player probably ends when Ennis is activated.

I am happy for him and this is good news for the depth of the Magic bench.

Moving forward, this is a bit like Carter-Williams last year. I can see Orlando inking Clark to a full contract in the off-season. He ticks a bench of boxes and still has some upside. I would rather Orlando have Clark over Jefferson, for example.

I think Clark played better than Iwundu so far. Maybe we will assemble some kind of a bench for next season.
Fultz/Fournier/Okeke/Isaac/Vucevic
MCW, Ross, Aminu, Bamba+ (Dj, Clark and Ennis)?
Hmm i wonder what will happen with Dj and Ennis. This bench doesnt seem balanced.
