What's the reason for this you Think? Is he taking too many mid range so Bron can attack the paint? Is he put into a position where he has to bail out his team late in the shot clock? Or is he just shooting the ball poorly?

I view the Lakers as a two man team and a bunch of Titos. Haven't watched enough to know any better. Would Davis look better surrounded by one of the best shooting and passing teams in the league? We could certainly use a guy who can produce outside of 3 PT shooting. Maybe it's a good match.

While some of these might be valid, they're not excuses I will accept for a supposed top 7 player that supposedly has the ability to lead a team to a chip. You hold Steph and Harden to the standard of being 2-way players but they've led their teams to the highest stages of basketball...

I actually feel for Portland because Lillard is literally WILLING this team to a playoff spot right now and for them to miss that obvious of a goaltend is just unacceptable. Sure you can account for human error and whatnot, but the last moments of a game like that, officiating needs to be spot on. The NBA should be ashamed.

It was pretty bad but it's nothing new. NBA has always been atrocious at officiating the last second play.

If you are an away team (@ Utah of all places) down 2 and shot clock is off, I would live or die by Dame's game winning 3. Attacking the basket for a tie, it's most likely that Dame gets fouled with no call, or goaltend with no call. Even if he makes that basket or refs miraculously call the goaltending, D Mitchell can win it in regulation or in OT with no Whiteside. Portland couldn't defend or get rebounds to save their lives down the stretch.

It doesn't excuse the ineptitude of those refs tonight, but the smart move is always to take a jumpshot, and preferably a game winner esp. in an away game imo

That was a foul and a goaltend. The no 1 seed in the west might not be a great thing. If they get Nurkic back and with Dame playing like this, that might be a long series. Dame last 15 games has been best player in the league. He's putting up ridiculous numbers and unlike Harden, it's all in the flow of the game.

Yeah LAL might actually prefer playing OKC than the 8th seed. Which would probably be Portland or Memphis. OKC is good, but they don't have anybody like Dame, who could single-handedly win ball games. But then again OKC isn't even guaranteed at 7th atm. It looks like it's both LA teams at 1 and 2 (potentially Denver in the mix), then wide open from 3 to 7. Then a battle between Memphis and Portland at 8. No seed is safe in West imo (OKC and Memphis being relatively EZ path)

Dame is boxoffice. Adam Silver needs sit down with the refs. They need to make sure he makes the playoffs. They need to fix it so Houston gets 2nd seed and Potland 7th. I'd pay anything to see Dame vs Russ part II. I'd be funny after he ended OKC, he ends Houston
