Re: Jalen Ramsey
I don't know. Sherman stays on the field, and he was the bigger problem at the end. Though Moseley blew the coverage on the 3rd and 15 from what I've read.

Our DBs are trash. With the exception of K’ Wuan Williams who can only play in the slot / nickel position.

Ramsey would've been enough to put the Niners over the top.
Going into a SB with Mosley / Witherspoon as starting CBs was insane if you're a SB contender IMO. They should've pulled a Rams & loaded up for one big run.

Re: Jalen Ramsey
When he was traded to the Rams though, it wasn't clear that the 49ers would win the division, get HFA and then make the SB.
The price was very steep. Rams are going to be in cap hell if they give Ramsey a big contract. That would mean they'd have to go with poor OL, since they've traded away a lot of their picks

They were 5-0 with a D-line that was unstoppable. A CB like Ramsey would've made that defense 2013-Seattle-like. And as great of a season as Sherman had, he's no Ramsey. Not any more.
When it was clear the Niners weren't going to have a high pick, they should've made a serious run for him IMO. Or at least for someone at CB.
This is like 2013 over again. The team was clearly weak at one of the CB positions, but they were content to settle for it for some reason. If you have a shot at a ring, you load up to fill the cracks. Even though they lost, the Rams had the right idea last season.
