Shows the sort of impact a quality bloke like Marv has on an entire roster - even the young dudes.

What have they said/tweeted/instagrammed/facebooked/tik tok’d/whatever the kids are doing these days?

Behind Matt Carrol, Marv might be my all time favourite Charlotte basketball player.

At least the players know we aren't going to do them dirty like Detroit did with Drummond. Marvin gets out on his own accord and gets to choose where to go. I look forward to seeing him dropping some daggers in the playoffs.

This move, as opposed to a trade, is all about respect...and an investment in a future coaching star.

The buyout gave Marvin control that a trade would not. This was also not a money move, though it was fiscally responsible. What it was was a nod to a professional whose best days are ahead of him as an NBA coach.

When William's retires, which I think will happen after this season is up, especially if Milwaukee makes it to the finals, his first look should be to Charlotte, with it's basketball-rabid, family-friendly community and its youth-saturated NBA franchise.

I think they intended on resigning Walker until he miraculously made all NBA. Regardless it's like beating a dead horse at this point.

How much does Marv improve the Bucks chances at getting a title shot?

What will his role be with them (depth chart, PT etc)?

He could be huge. if hes still got some left in the tank they could run out a small ball 5 lineup of

George Hill 51% from 3
Wes Mathews 37% from 3
Khris Middleton 41% from 3
Marvin Williams 36% from 3
Giannis is Giannis

Him replacing the Ersan minutes will be killer as he can move his feet and defend 10x better than slow ass ersan

Side note: Any interest in Bender since MIL is waiving him? 22 year old 7'1" PF/C on a very, very talented Bucks team. We have two roster spots available now.

Don't know enough about him, but at 22, still any upside potential?

In both instances we failed to get any assets in a trade before we lost control of our ability to do so.

I don't get this. I have been a super casual fan as of late and haven't been following all the ins and outs, but it seems like a misuse of resources. He's immediately signing with one of the best teams in the league, and we couldn't get ANYTHING for him through a trade rather than a buyout?
