Defensive phenom with point production and shooting ability.

You gotta be chock full of ball handlers to entertain making a selection like him, though. A team like Chicago or Cleveland would make a lot of sense. A team like us should probably pass. Same with Haliburton.

Replacing JRich with him seems like a natural progression. If he can develop his creating ability, then we have a star.

Yeah, but that's the white whale that all the defensive phenoms are chasing. He can attack closeouts fine, but he seems pretty awkward handling the ball. At least from what I've seen.

He'd probably need to stay at Florida State for four years (which he's obviously not going to do) and get a ton of reps as the top guy to have a shot at developing that trait.

Yes he does.

In all seriousness, he'd be a really good get at the end of the 1st round.

6'6" 215 pound G/F that is an outright marksman. He actually has a little creating ability, too. And he's more than capable of being a decent team defender in a strong scheme.

His assist to turnover ratio sucks really bad, but he looks like a seamless fit for this offense. The bigger Redick/Marco that we were looking for.

Devon Dotson is filthy. How is a 6'2" 180 pound dude this scary at the point of attack defensively? If he had better passing, he might be a lotto pick. I still think he's a worthy 1st rounder. He can score his ass off.

A small concern for Nesmith that I have is his slow ass release.

If you want a similar sized G/F with excellent shooting ability and a lightning quick release, check out Landers Nolley. His footwork is godlike.

Cole Anthony splits the double team and hits a tear drop in front of the guy waiting under the basket. Man, I hope he gets his efficiency numbers back on track, because he's an elite talent. Cole Anthony would save the Knicks!

Hot take: Cal's Matt Bradley is the best SG in this draft and should be a top 10 pick. He's going to be a star in the NBA. Rich man's Eric Gordon.

Dude is built like a tank, too, good luck guarding him with a 180-205 pound skinny kid like Thybulle/Richardson/Gilgeous-Alexander.

We talked about him before, but Ellerby is maintaining a strong season. His shot concerns me, but he's also a near 80% FT shooter. His ability to draw fouls and his comfort handling the ball/shooting 6 three point attempts a game really makes him alluring to me.

I truly hope we consider Desmond Bane with a second rounder. Here are his concerns: length, low FTr, and a senior. That's about it. He has shown distributing capabilities this year (22.6 AST%) and is one of the best shooters in the draft (43% from three). I think his strength and athleticism will make up for his lack of length at the SG position. He has also elevated his defense this year.

Nice offensive numbers. Can he D up? STL and BLK %'s look poor.

He was an okay team defender as a freshman when he didn't carry a big scoring load. Whether or not he's a good defender in the NBA will probably depend on what scheme he goes to. For instance, who would have thought Donte DiVincenzo would be among the best perimeter defenders in the NBA? I wouldn't have even classified him as a good college defender at Villanova. He goes to Budenholzer and that's all she wrote.

I brought this guy up before, but one guy that checks almost every box as a guard is Elijah Hughes from Syracuse.

Syracuse sucks this year, but he's been one of their bright spots. Not sure what his length is: 6'6 is listed height. But he's been hunting blocks (3.7 BLK% as a guard), just short of what I look for in steals (1.9 STL%), and has been quite the dynamo on offense:

.357 FTr, .501 3PAr, .564 TS%, 22.0 AST%, 81% FT, 36% 3FG, 19 ppg.

Here's another where he's cooking:

Soooo good. I'm a big fan of Elleby, too.

It seems like his jumpshot progression is on a similar development trajectory as Miles Bridges' was from freshman year to sophomore year.

It looks like, to a lesser extent, that Lonzo Ball across-the-body load up that usually results in bad FT%. Fultz kinda had a small version of that before he completely blew up his form.

But clearly it's not an issue for him right now. Hopefully it translates.

I may have to start attributing value to Tre Jones. Dude looked phenomenal in his matchup against Cole Anthony.

Nice player except he can't shoot like the rest of his family.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
