:droop: He'd fit in great! Biyombo or Thompson. But do the Hornets seriously part with an all star level player without any return?

Biyombo is an all star level player?!?

I don't like Wannamaker. Like at all. But, we still need him as a backup because of his size. His ability to bounce off contact is nice too.

There are some games where Waters looks ready. But he's an undersized rook and we could end up with a matchup that really hurts us in the playoffs if we got rid of Brad.

And Theis, but he's pretty clearly our starting center this season.

To cut Green for a big you'd basically be saying that the seven guys ahead of him are enough.

Yep, we'd be losing some depth defensively, but Grant and Romeo are starting to step up. Bender opens the floor more than Green, and has the size to defend at the 4, but he's not a very good defender or versatile one yet. So the question is whether you take a hit defensively to get that 3pt shot in the arsenal. Dragan's shot looks very good.

Seems everyone was all about trading players and picks for Bertrans! Bender is going to be just as good if not better in the long run, IMO, but unfortunately he's not there yet. I'd roll the dice now.

I don't know if Bender would even play for us this season.. but -

check out where he ranked last season in contested shots per game - https://stats.nba.com/players/hustle/?sort=CONTESTED_SHOTS_2PT&dir=1&Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Regular%20Season - in only 18 minutes a night - not discouraging..

I think Bender is still technically probably a 4.5 in the "tweener" sense - not quite strong enough to man the 5, not quite quick enough for the 4. Eventually he may be able to guard both.

If coach Bud couldn't do anything with Bender then I want no part of him.

Oh FFS, I should delete that, but I'll take the L for ignorance: eyes saw Bismack Biyombo and brain put in Bam Adebayo.

Apologies to the fine people of Nigeria, the Congo, North Carolina, Miami, and um I guess New Jersey.

I'm really sorry, can we have Bam Adebayo now?

fwiw a lot of Bucks fans liked him. But they're chasing a title this year and he isn't ready to help that push. Someone will pick him up.

Bender should be scooped up pronto. He's been buried on terrible teams ran by incompetent people for most of his career and wasn't what the Bucks needed. It takes longer for bigs to develop. You need patience, good coaching and an organization that believes in you. He just needs to be put in a position to succeed. I feel bad for the kid. We could use him on our bench and I'd rather develop a 7 footer who can shoot threes than a 6 foot shooting guard who can't shoot or journeyman wing who has terrible instincts.

Why wouldn’t we take a flyer on Bender? He’s a lottery ticket. A young 7 footer with major upside. He’s still 22 and won’t be 23 until November. Javonte Green will be 27 in July and is what he is. Which isn’t much.

Both Bender and Bolden have the right size and position to help Boston and help with roster balance.

Both have youth and possible upside.

Both are not the experienced player for the playoffs that the team would prefer.

Goes without saying it'd be Javonte Green on the chopping block. How is this even a poll?

BRAD AND GREEN

I think he would bring more to the table than what most think. I think I remember hearing Danny was very high on him during that draft. He would be our 22 year old Brook Lopez. I mean we have all been saying we need more height, but we need more shooting. Well,... could be a lot worse for the 15th man.

Cant believe people are actually advocating signing Bender...

If Knicks want to go young and buy-out Portis, Ellington, Gibson...I would be interested...

Sure, just send over Jaylen Brown and a first round pick or two.
