Welcome, Iggy!
For some of you not seeing the big picture here, please allow me to help.
We may have marginally improved on the court as all three players can actually contribute on the floor this year (unlike Winslow who, last I heard, may not be ready for the playoffs) but we've vastly improved our salary cap position. We're now players in the buyout market, we have the flexibility to easily resign Goran Dragic, Derrick Jones Jr., and anyone else we want, and we've maintained our 2021 salary cap space. Those are very big deals. We won't be skirting the luxury tax next year unless we make a big move this offseason.
I'd say that's worth giving up Waiting for Winslow for...

Someone finally sees the logic... Thank you.

Re: Welcome Andre Iguana to Miami
I tried to prepare you guys, the Heat are gonna try to win in this 2 year window. Butler was not brought here just to be a pacifier ie a hold over until the real meal gets here.
The Heat could not trust Winslow health or game. Iggy hopefully has enough of him to get big time play in control minutes. I see this as a equal to the Heat gettin Gary Payton. A player who has elite ice in his veins and will not crumble under playoff pressure. This team is being built around Bam and Butler ball handling distributing skills. Unlike Winslow, Iggy is a very good off the ball mover and cutter. off the ball movement is a big part of this teams offensive identity/scheme.
He should be a valuable addition.

Iggy will be put in the corner on offense where winslow did not want to play and where iggy shoots very well.
