Buyout targets?
I’d like to give Bender a go. 22 year old 7 footer, according to the Milwaukee forum he’s been showing signs of development.
Let biz go, play Dragan

Re: Buyout targets?
Bender's been pretty good for the Buck's G League team, Wisconsin Herd. Don't be surprised if he signs a contract with Wisconson to stay with the Milwaukee org. Definitely a big who likes to stay on the perimeter.

We can claim him off waivers to prevent that, no?

Re: Buyout targets?
Bender should be a no brainer. Absolutely zero risk involved in kicking the tires on a high lotto pick who is still only 22.

Re: Buyout targets?
we could use a defensive SF, wonder if one of those is available, preferably 26 years old or younger
investigate Adam Silver

Re: Buyout targets?
Monk still has a ways to go, but lately he has shown a few signs of improvement. Bender is also 22 years old, give him a chance, play him, evaluate what you see, then check his work ethic in the offseason. May strike gold, may find a rotation guy, and may cut him and never blink an eye. Either way, the loses nothing, but could gain something.

Re: Buyout targets?
Bender is by far the most intriguing buyout prospect available for potential future development given his age, his draft pedigree, what he has shown for the herd and the fact that he would cost nothing to assess for a couple months. We should have been on the phone with his agent yesterday. Buyout biyombo and let him go to a playoff team, give Bender minutes and see what he shows. It's not like we're playing for a play off spot at the moment so use the remaining games to size up a 22yo former lottery pick..

Re: Buyout targets?
A PG/SG with size that can actually shoot
Bender, why not.
Spend the rest of the season getting up and down the court, spacing the floor from 5 positions.

Re: Buyout targets?
Frankly, I'm content with the team we have now and want to see them build some chemistry. If an injury sidelines one of the young guys like PJ or Miles, sure look to see who is out there. But, I'd much rather give our guys as many minutes as possible in this rebuild season.
For comparison, look at a team like New York. They have all these fringe prospects all over the roster but nobody on that team is able to really hone in on their skills because it's like playing round robin with who gets to play when.

The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

Re: Buyout targets?
Wonder if Kobi Simmons gets a deal now, could fill his two-way with another young prospect.

That'd be nice. We haven't had one of those in about five years.

Re: Buyout targets?
Do bender cleared waivers even though it was a team friendly deal. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him head back to Europe.
Seemed like a no brainer for me, but what do I know?

Are we calling Cody Martin a shooting guard?
