It's weird to say that Detroit clearly won a trade where they acquired Thon Maker.

Cody missed a good bit of time getting stitches and Willy only played 14 minutes, the inference here is that PJ spent a third of his minutes (12) at the 5.

We're now 17-36 and 4-0 vs. Detroit.

I think its hilarious that no matter how bad we are, or how we are playing, we always beat Detroit.

The Orlando Magic have definitely passed the “owned by the Hornets” baton to the Pistons

I actually love defensive struggles. This one qualified for sure. The final score was almost identical to another game’s score with 5 mins left in the third.

Looks like Jonathan Isaac (frame, length, haircut wise).

His skillset is quite intriguing.

i dont think defense had anything to do with that garbage. two awful offensive teams walking the ball up the court, content to start primary offensive sets with 7 secs on clock. not what they meant by "7 seconds or less" FFS.

I can't even give them credit for defense

it was was truly one of the worst games i've seen in years. both teams deserved to lose but detroit wanted it more.

Miles starts the game with another slow, deliberate and well executed post up to jump hook. He's doing more and more of these NBA level moves and showing better decision making. Is he turning the corner?

3J then follows with pretty much the same move and scores. I like that we are posting up and working the ball inside.

Graham - Rozier - Bridges - Washington - Zeller Vs Jackson - Brown - Snell - Wood - Maker = This is a glorified G-League game.

I love that 3J really understands how to use his length and extend out for those dunks he throws down. I think his length catches defenders by surprise.

Thing #2 busts his ass on the outside while defending, diving, getting back to his feet, making a 2nd and 3rd effort and nearly forcing a shot clock violation only to have Willy give us 2 easy bunnies under the rim. All that Thing #2 hard work instantly undone.

TAE TOOK AND MADE A RUNNING MID RANGE FLOATER DOWN THE LANE!!!!

Sick double clutch and hang time on that layup under the rim by Rozier.

Without looking what do you think Cody Z's 3pt % is this season? I'd guess 18-22%. And he has to be averaging 1 or 2 attempts per game. Is that a good game plan?

Another nice straight line bully ball baseline drive by Miles that resulted in him getting fouled and to the FT line.

Brandon Knight is a hot mess. Weren't there a lot of posters here saying he was someone we should have drafted and then someone we should have traded for and then someone we should have signed?

Terrible non-box out on that Maker offensive rebound and follow up dunk. JB calls a time out straight away and he and an assistant jump off the bench very animated at one of our dudes for not doing their job - but who were they p*ssed at? Willy (who sealed off Woods), 3J (who was in the paint) or Tae (who Maker walked around)??

Maker out here looking like Hakeem.

I'm not sure about Tae trying to shoot his way back into some form lately, it's not going well and the more he is forcing it the worse it is becoming. It's also looking more and more like that shooting touch at the start of the season was the exception and not the rule.

Rozier's finger rolls are so pretty - which makes it even more surprising when he misses them.

I don't know if he is smart enough - or if he'll ever be smart enough, but wouldn't it be nice for McDaniels to develop into a mini Marv - someone who can play PF/C/SF, defend well, shoot the 3, play with extreme effort 100% of the time and make heady plays by being in the right place at the right time?

We are bad, but at least we are not Pistons bad. We at least have some youthful players to try and develop (Tae, Monk, Thing #1, Miles, 3J). What have they got?

Tae making Monk look good with that sick bounce pass to the Monk double handed jam after Monk lost the ball for no apparent reason.

Good guys win! Yippppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

If throwing up threes at a 10-20% clip this year, ups the % chance that Zeller develops into a passable 3 point shooter in the future then I would take it over the immaterial increase in win% this year. (You were real close though. .243 on 2.2 attempts.) Per the advanced stats, he's our best player.

McDaniels looked good. But then again it was a G-League game.

Miles Bridges playing increasingly well. Maybe there's hope for a big jump next season.

Lets win the lottery and trade the #1 for Embiid

That’s a good point.

If there was ever a season for him to experiment with his 3 and try to improve it, this is the season because there’s nothing at stake.

I’m actually surprised his 3pt% is that high. I would have thought I’d over-guessed. He was hitting them at the start of the season (from memory) but seems to miss them a lot now.
