I hate making excuses but it's been impossible to have any rhythm this season with the suspension and injuries. Rubio has still been very good but he's not elite. He's a very good floor general. He'll never been what Nash was, simply because he can't shoot

In what way has he been “very good”? He’s been well below average at the PG position for almost 2 months.

He's been decent after starting off very well. He has had some bad shooting nights but so have everyone, and we knew he wasn't a shooter when we signed him. He has definitely made more 3s than I expected.

Shooting is the least of his problems right now.

Hes straight garbage atm even if you take his shooting out of the equation.

Well tonight he wasn't bigger garbage than Booker or Oubre.

We really need a long stretch where the team is healthy. It's so frustrating that we are trying to improve our play, and our culture from last season, but nobody can stay on the floor. I can't remember the last time we had this many injuries. I want to blame it on losing our medical staff but the injuries are flukey.

They do but even the depth is injured lol.

Saric, Kaminsky
Ayton, Baynes

That’s the entire first AND second string frontcourt that’s not playing in this game lol.

I’m not sure the Suns have had a worse injury season than this year in the past 20 something years.

I don't know what this has to do with anything I said about Rubio.

In defense of Rubio you shout BUT BOOKER AND OUBRE HAD BAD GAMES TOO! what kind of argument is that...

Guess what... Rubio has been trash for awhile now. Not just this one game.

Booker 2/11, dumb plays. Nights like these talk me in to thinking trading for the right package isn't the end of the world.

Then he'll explode next game.

Hey, I didn't want Rubio but we signed him and he is pretty much what I expected. He does make a difference on the court in many ways, but can't shoot very well. However, he is good at the line and hits more 3s than I expected. He is our best ball handler by a long shot. Booker is a turnover machine.

He has a nice bbiq and works very well with Bridges and even Ayton.

I've been on this Booker isn't untouchable boat for a while. For the right package, I wouldn't be opposed to moving him

Ball handling (best), ast/to ratio (very good), defense (best other than Bridges), and high IQ, talking and directing guys on the court. He's probably tired and/or injured.

No real use complaining too much about him. I seriously doubt he's going anywhere, though I guess people complain about some for years.

What does this comment have to do with what I said?

Are you having a stroke?

Is this how your arguments normally go?

P1: "This pizza isn't very good"

P2: "WELL THATS BECAUSE YOU NEED TO EAT MORE CHEESEBURGERS"

...Sorry man im not down with the Gazpacho atm.

I'd like to keep him and I'm a Booker supporter but he's just not untouchable. Whether we are entertaining moving him or not is another thing.

Should probably have had more big guys. Diallo at center at what? 6'7"? It's going to be rough. Get rid of 2 PGs and pickup another BIG center and a serviceable PF. Quantity on PGs doesn't make for quality.

To be clear - Booker made 2 shots. There’s more bad Booker games than good ones now.

Bridges over Oubre as starter is the way to go. Another nice all-around game for him. Oubre can be more efficient versus the second unit.

Also the number of games lost to injury this year is staggering. I don’t want to hear the broadcast coddle the Suns for “putting up a fight” down 9 at halftime when inevitably there were going to lose by 20+. I want to hear why these injuries are so common/chronic. Training, med staff, players out of shape?? It’s becoming bizarre and possibly mismanaged. Reminds me of the Mets.

Return to Phoenix Suns
