Usually we put something more in the title than just the name.
Something iike, Joel Embiid - The day of reckoning.

Agreed, the Embiid thread is definitely worthy of a unique title, and traditionally it has been like that.
Maybe...

I'm starting this thread how I ended the last one.
I'm firing and trading everybody before I trade Joel Embiid.

now i'm guessing Jimmy would have stayed around to continue playing with JoJo. probably JJ too. Marcus declared JoJo "uncoachable", kind of forgetting just how well he played for Bill Self. man, we ought to seriously build around this guy before cutting him loose.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Joel Embiid: The False Messiah
I cant believe 6-7 years after this guy was drafted we are in this mess. Embiid was supposed to be a top 5 player, a dominating force leading the Sixers to multi championships but instead hes presently a poorly conditioned, whiny, moping bad 3 point launcher who refuses to protect the rim.

I’d move him for Bam, Herro and a unprotected 1st 22 /23 in a second.

I can't believe people are feeding into sports talk radio, TMZ-esque concocted hysteria and wanting to trade your best player because he's had a bad string of games after being rushed back from injury. Casual Philly fans are embarrassing and I know why the rest of the nation laughs at us. We slap a sticker on our own back of how passionate we are with our sports teams but in reality 75% of the fanbase half pays attention then regurgitates whatever 94.1 or 97.5 is saying on the radio on their commute to work. Has Embiid played up to his potential this season? Hell no. But wanting to go nuclear while we are sitting 5 games out of the 3 seed is pretty laughable. We did envision being a top 2 team in the East this season, but things haven't worked out as planned and we can point fingers at Embiid, Brown, Simmons, Horford, Brand, whoever, but maybe, JUST MAYBE, everyone is a little to blame.

Re: Joel Embiid
we will trade one; then the other leaves after the FO fails to put stuff around them but the "real" fans will keep going "well he should be able to just carry trash doe; all that money; shut up and play ball" then wonder why no one wants to come here. Not placing him on the same level but Iggy legit left and helped win a chip two years later lol.
Is Joel probably a bit lazy and needs to take better care of his body? Hell yeah he does. But maybe the FO should have made that a point of contention? IIRC they wanted him to add pounds for more of teh bulleh ballz.
Does Joel float around and not try hard enough to get into the paint? Yeah, he has to work better at getting position. BUT there have been plenty of times in which he does get position but the ballhandler doesn't even look his way and by the time they do its too late lol.
Does Joel shoot too many 3s? Some nights but again that's part of the way the team is set up. One player refuses to shoot and the other 3s aren't keen on shooting too many either...this includes Joel too btw.
Many of Joel's shortcomings are on him but thats apart of the Joel Embiid experience. Ben not shooting is apart of the Ben Simmons experience. Both of these things are crazy frustrating. BUT can be accounted for. They have not. And now frustration is at an all time high lol. Jimmy was an **** and was going to cost you Ben? Ok. Fine maybe let that guy walk. But why not keep JJ to placate Joel? Joel is a fat sadboy who can't run with Ben? Have a set up in which sometimes they run...with maybe a backup center who can run w/ Ben. That way there is more Ben Time without Embiid and we don't have to force start a guy. I mean for all of the Pro Ben v No Ben stuff...even with Embiid..the team really isn't built for Ben either? No athletes to run with and Korkmaz is the only real shooter he has confidence in. I mean as quiet as kept both guys legit need the same type of players...which brings me back to my initial comment. This FO is going to botch whoever they decide to build around. This narrative of "well its hard because we gotta build around two different skillsets" is a media creation to out Embiid IMO. That first year was flawed but was the best type of team to put around these guys. Get better versions of JJ/Cov/Dario and a bench worth a damn that was the blueprint...but nope pile of coats needed to prove their balls were big and now we are in this ****.
so yeah keep booing the only things going for your team (outside of Korklord of course) and see how that goes for ya longterm
All I know is that I don't want to see a woe is we post after it happens.

Re: Joel Embiid
Joel is playing and acting soft this year and it’s sad. He lost the fun side of him and it made him a less effective player. When he was being himself he was a force now he’s just a star player not looking like a superstar atm and it’s hurting the team big time.
They call me Hussien Fatal its a two game table im robbin you **** cradle wit a knife in your navel....
