Zach was a project who came on at the end of last season and looked good to start this year. Trent has been fantastic given his draft slot. Little is a project who's shown real potential. I think this roster sucks as well, but your reasoning is way off base IMO.

That's great that Olshey's good at spotting projects with great potential. Too bad he's not that bright at spotting NBA caliber players out there..

I completely disagree. I think the Blazers have a sterling draft record over the last 7 or so years. Olshey has many other issues that are readily debatable though. I won't agree with you on their draft record.

How about that bowtie our player development coach was wearing during that interview?

Melo got away with a bumping foul against Morant.

I feel like Portland has done a poor job of targeting high energy players. Dame is constantly having to set the tone for this team. I don’t know if it’s olshey targeting higher skilled players or what but this team lacks the fire of a lot of these other teams out there

Little, Collins, and Nurk all bring energy. They're all in street clothes. They can help set the tone for the team, if they ever get healthy.

I don't know if energy or effort is the issue, but the Blazers have several slow moving players, more than a team's fair share of such.

Replacing Whiteside and Melo with Collins, Little, and Nurkic is a massive upgrade in speed and quickness. Nurk is actually pretty damn mobile for his size. Zach is VERY mobile for a 7 footer, and Little has athleticism to spare. Replacing Melo with Collins and Little would be huge against these young high paced teams.

Portland's transition defense is completely unacceptable. The MOMENT the ball is released from a shooters hand, the WHOLE TEAM needs to SPRINT back. I literally don't care about offensive boards at this point. This team is giving up an unbelievable amount of easy baskets in transition.

Rookie Brandon Clarke literally teaches 8 years vet Hassan Whiteside what an NBA player is supposed to look like.

Blazers need a big 4th quarter to get a win.

Transition offense starts with a missed shot.

Edit: We have missed 12 more shots than Grizzlies

When you miss 12 more shots than your opponent, they have 12 more opportunities in transition.

Swanigan is just so awful. I'm literally embarrassed for him right now. Watching him miss rebound after rebound is hilarious, and sad.
