Booker got selected for replace Dame because he's a Western Conf. player....like Lillard. Beal wasn't a candidate for that slot.

Why is that? The All-Star game isn't East vs West anymore.

Because the all-star voting/selection process is still East & West...and each conference gets 12 slots. The NBA is not going to give Lillard's Western conference slot to Beal, an Eastern Conf. player.

Too bad no east play bailed on the game. But there was a good chance it didn't go to Beal either way .I hope wall and Beal show to support bertains , Rui and Mo

BB and his family are vacationing someplace where it's 90 degrees. His fiancé tweeted about it yesterday. Smart move on his part.

I’m sure Rui, Mo and Davis totally understand Beal prioritizing his family—and getting some rest and relaxation in preparation for the Zards playoff push. :)

I know I'm not bagging on him.just a lot of people have him **** over his reactions to the all star game and it would have gone a long way to shut them up. he deserves a beach day with his family !

Beal is now 2nd in the league in scoring and one of only 2 players to average over 30 PPG:

Among the guards in the top 5 in scoring (Lillard, Harden, Young & Beal) Brad ranks second (45.7) in FG% behind Dame (46), and that’s despite shooting only 33% on 3s. Lillard shoots 39.3% on 3s; Harden is at 35.9% & Young shoots 34.7% on threes.

It's also great to see that BB has raised his FT shooting from a career # of 80.6% to 84.5% this season. He is currently 8th in the league in FT attempts for the season.

Lillard TS% is at 62% while Beal is only at 58%. But if Beal can raise his 3 point percentage to 40 %, he will move himself into the mvp conversation as he gets better teammates that help him win.

I would say not playing in the All-Star game has been the best thing to happen to Beal.

Whatever that man did over the All-Star break he needs to keep doing it.

Remember all the times many of us lamented about the Wizards not trading Harden for Beal if that rumor is true?

I would say that right now Beal is looking pretty damn good. First time any NBA player has had back-to-back 50 point games since Kobe.

I have to confess also wanting Bradley Beal and his rights at draft time traded for Damian Lillard and another pick or future considerations.

Right now I would say I was wrong.

The thing I did not like about deal was never his play on the court. His first three or four years he was injured a lot.

I have never seen a player do what Bradley Beal is doing in terms of staying game ready and healthy after being injured early on so frequently.

Bradley Beal by not making the All-Star game has received a lot of positive attention. His star value is going higher and higher and he's backing it up on the court.

I wonder if his play is trending upward in a sustained way statistically and quantitatively?

To answer my own question yes it is!

In addition to taking more shots he is also really making more free throws in both attempts and percentages.

No you weren't. Beal is good, but Lillard is better.
