Easily the best game of the year. Glad Tatum was able to get away from Kyrie

Glad the clippers lost. Oh and I heard Paul George got injured as well. Better rest him up for the playoffs just to be safe!

For them to take the Celts to 2 Ot's minus PG? They have to be the most talented team in the league. Enjoyed the game, when two really good teams play its like chess. Good teams are also usually devoid of mistake prone and selfish players. ...

I really wanted to have had a chance to draft either of these two guys in their respective drafts.
Interestingly enough I didn’t expect KAT to have turned out to be an offensive juggernaut while for Ayton while I knew he had to work on some things defensively I didn’t anticipate him improving this fast on this end.
To be honest I want my bigs to be two-way players and thus I would prefer someone like Ayton over KAT despite me being more devastated in 2015 rather in 2018.
I remember a lot of people thought Ayton was hopeless on defense and could never be this good while KAT was supposed to be the 2 way big out of college. Now Ayton is basically what KAT is supposed to be while KAT is what we thought Ayton was gonna be. So weird.
And yeah I agree with you that I would rather have a 2 way big like Ayton. I really hope Wiseman is like Ayton and the Knicks get to draft him.
Yeah hope we get Wiseman and luck ourselves into a PG who’d fall into the 20’s where the Clippers are slated to pick or even in the Hornets range in the early second.
For some reason I’ve seen Nico Mannion and Tyrese Maxey’s name in the 20’s in some mock drafts.
Seeing how Giannis has struggled at times against Ayton it would be nice to have Wiseman on our squad who projects to be an even better defender. We also have Embiid to deal with if we have any plans of making noise in the East sooner rather than later.

Just Youtubed Wiseman. He looks like an AD clone, maybe even an upgrade talent-wise. If he is durable while his frame fills out, he'd probably be unstoppable while being a major threat defensively. Looks like a franchise talent perhaps

That Bam article was pretty good. How the Heat love players with an edge, reminds me of how Riley found guys like Mase and Starks too.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28678382/bam-adebayo-fiercest-best-nba-player-know
But of course...
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28678382/bam-adebayo-fiercest-best-nba-player-know
The Heat tested Adebayo when they hosted him for a pre-draft workout. They put him through a "hands" drill in which a half-dozen staffers circled Adebayo, and chucked basketballs at him in random patterns. He caught every one.
One Heat official asked Adebayo what percentage of corner 3s he could hit in practice. Adebayo answered with bravado: 60%. Prove it, they said. Adebayo hit 31-of-50 -- 62%.
They ran Adebayo ragged: block-to-block sprints culminating in an attempt to reject a shot at the rim; lane agility tests; footwork drills. After an hour, with exhaustion setting in, Heat officials began the drill they were really there to see. They asked Adebayo to switch onto perimeter players, including Justin Jackson, another prospect in attendance, and stay in front of them.
Adebayo turned to Heat brass, including Riley and Spoelstra, and shouted: "Oh, you got me f---ing confused! You got me f---ed up!" Translation: Don't you know who I am? As the stops -- "kills" in Heat parlance -- piled up, the trash talk flowed. "Oh, it was explicit," Adebayo says. It was not friendly taunting. Adebayo was not smiling.
"We were like, 'Is this guy kinda crazy?'" Spoelstra says.
Juwan Howard, then a Miami assistant, locked eyes with Dan Craig, the coach running the drill. "Our eyes got wide," Howard says. "We said, 'This is a Heat guy.' To have the balls to say that in front of Pat Riley -- to say, 'You're not going to pick on me!' -- that's a Heat guy."
"I'm lucky they like guys with edge," Adebayo says.
Adebayo's agents had cautioned him against overreacting to mistakes in pre-draft workouts. "If I miss two shots in a row, I might kick the ball across the floor," Adebayo says. "I was not gonna do that in front of Pat Riley, but behind closed doors, it's 'm-----f----- this and m-----f----- that.'"
But of course...
ADEBAYO'S ADDICTION TO defense -- to breaking his opponent's will -- shined in pre-draft workouts. One scout for the New York Knicks, who held the No. 8 pick, worked with Adebayo's agent, Alex Saratsis, to schedule New York for Adebayo's first workout, Saratsis says. Adebayo left without any hint of New York's interest level. (They selected Frank Ntilikina.)

I remember in early mocks he was late teens / 20’s and and at that time we were playoff bound. Wanted him then.
Didn’t even think of looking at him at 8. He would have been, in theory, an awesome fit next to KP, assuming we wouldn’t have screwed up his development.

Now we just need for KP to blow his knee out but Donic stay healthy and things might really work out with the picks.

Translation at bottom:
Knicks MIGHT have good scouts, but their decision makers with that "basketball intel" suck.
I'd still be fine with all the scouts being fired IF I was positive the revamp meant known quality guys coming back in.
It makes sense the problem is at the top though. I figure most teams have pretty good guys providing the intel.

This was the season that Heat started 11-30 and were at one point had the third worst record in the league. I think they then made that huge run in the second half of the season only to fall one game short of the playoffs.
I am inclined to say that the Heat had good karma but at the end of the day that squad really has a good player development team.

Good chance the Clippers can drop 4 spots? Only 1-2 games to getting that pick at no.20

FWIW I think the Knicks are known for having a great far-reaching scouting staff, but yeah the decision makers... not so much
