Would Bradley Beal make the Warriors the favorites for next year?

Post#1 » by wfiles » Fri Feb 14, 2020 3:45 pm

There's been a lot of talks of the Warriors possibly trading for Beal this summer. They can do Wiggins, Warriors' 2020 1st pick, Minnesota's 2021 top 3 protected 1st pick for Beal. Beal, Curry, Thompson, and Green would probably be the best foursome in the NBA. Would Bradley Beal make the Warriors the favorites for next year?

Warriors haters: "Dynasty is over. They never coming back. Look how bad their team looks now."

Also Warriors haters: "Beal? How much help does Steph need???"

I don't get it. Do they suck or are they stacked/unfair? I've been confused with the narratives lately. Just like when people would say Klay/Draymond are overrated and aren't real all-stars, but then also say the Warriors are unfair for having too many good players. Make up your minds.

Let's not forget the third take: If you disagree with anything remotely negative about the Warriors, you are immediately KD's burner. :D

Also,

If it's a thread hating on KD: "KD had to join Steph and a 73 win team just to win championships."

If it's a thread hating on Steph and the Warriors: "GSW was only a dynasty because KD joined them. They're nothing without KD."

Then you'll get a response to that like "Well both GSW and KD need each other to be great. So both are true--they're weak without each other," meanwhile the same people saying that will also say KD wouldn't have made a difference if he played in the Finals.

Beal creates the same problems as DLo.

Seems rather redundant when you already have Klay. What the Warriors need is another Iggy/Durant type...someone who can defend multiple positions and space the floor. RoCo would have been the perfect complimentary piece.

GS fan here. No Beal doesn't make them favorites. Simmons would though.

Don't the Warriors already have one of the greatest back-courts of all time?

No.

The Warriors don't need another elite scorer, they need a mobile, athletic and defensive big who can flow seamlessly with Curry on the pick and roll.

Capela would have been the perfect fit alongside Curry and Klay imo.

Why dont you argue against those people when you see them instead of conjuring up their responses when they haven't taken over this thread? No one cares about you shadowboxing.

Wiseman will make Dubs the favorite...

Perfect storm just occurred and after this summer, Dubs will have another title window open for next 3 years.

Beal isn't the type of player the Warriors need. He's pretty similar to D'Lo, who they just traded away.

Warriors could potentially win the draft and trade their pick with Wiggins for almost anyone

-Beal
-Butler
-Tatum

Random people to move Wiggins for

If the Lakers got swept by the Clippers causing upheaval

1) AD in a S&T
Or
2) LeBron

Wiggins upgrades
3) Jaylen Brown
4) Gallinari - maybe not defensively

Bizarro world moves that could work
5) Jrue Holiday
6) CP3

That would be true if they can land him. They only have a 14% chance of landing him though. Sorry but Lamelo Ball or Cole Anthony is not going to move the needle.

We just have to wait and see next season how a healthy team with curry/thompson plays. Warriors should give Wiggins a chance to fit in with those guys. I wasn't crazy about the Russell trade but position wise it is a better fit going forward.

I don't think they need to trade the draft pick.

Curry, Thompson, Wiggins, Draymond, Wiseman = nice starting 5.

Try to fill in the bench with solid players and they'll be in the mix again next year.

I would love the warriors to get an AD, Brown, Butler, Tatum or George but I doubt they have the pieces to get them. Im not sure any of the contenders would trade for wiggins
