I usually don't like ASG weekend regardless of the sport but when the host city does not have much representation in the events it makes the AS Weekend low priority on my viewing list. So I like to sarcastically thank the Bulls for making the ASW a low priority for me.

I wanna see the players. Bought tickets to the practice Saturday which might help get my fix. Can’t justify paying for either Saturday night or Sunday’s game tbh

Ground Zero seems to be the Hyatt Regency on Wacker/South Water. I don't think all players are there but the official NBA stuff is all set up downstairs. I think Obama might be doing his 'fireside' chat there too. He knows this building, his former campaign HQ was next door.

They have an NBA pop-up shop in the lobby and some of those pop up photo booths. It's pretty busy down there this AM.

Enjoy the practice Sat. I want to go to Navy Pier on Sat and meet The Iceman!

I'm excited for tonight to see Ja, Zion and Luka!

Is Zach going to surprise us all and enter the dunk contest?

Just saw the stickied thread. I guess we should move the All Star discussions here?

Here's a couple new Zach LaVine interviews, undoubtedly the face of this franchise.

I'm blind and didn't see the original thread. I merged my thread into the one made yesterday.

That 360 from the free throw line is insane.

Gotta love that across the board, the perception about the Bulls from the National media has been negative across the board. Zach is about the only one who can consistently garner any positive reaction, which is how it should be and as accurate as it goes about this season.

Here's another punchline from last night's Inside the NBA on TNT:
https://streamable.com/cveh0

Glad that the All Star weekend is putting a huge spotlight on the Bulls as a team and an organization. If ownership is watching (and they really should, they're hosting), it's another ammunition to make a sweeping change from top to bottom if they care about the team's relevance.

Something about the way Zach jumps just doesn't seem real. It looks so easy for him that I just thought "meh, he missed it" the first time I saw it before even thinking about how insane it is that he came that close. Unreal.

That’s a big reason the festivities haven’t been in Chicago for so long. The NBA has pushed for Allstar weekend in Chicago for a long time, but Jerry didn’t like that season ticket holders and Bulls fans in general wouldn’t really be able to attend because the NBA basically takes control of everything and locals are pretty much s.o.l.

It’s still good to have though. It brings extra business to the area and the extended time in a city can leave an impression on players and execs. The city gets an opportunity to sell itself without the Bulls screwing it up.

I think the zero degree weather took care of that one

Embarrassingly empty at Wintrust for the celebrity game.

Not sure if it's normal for the games to take place at 2 different arenas (I think it is). If not, perhaps that has played part in the attendance. Plus it being 6 p.m. on a Friday.

Either way...its bare in there
