Luka. Luka just has too complete, too explosive of a game to disregard. He's also what 20? I was going to be offended when I saw SGA being off everyone's lists entirely, but the list has a lot of superstar, soon to be superstar guys, so it's not all that insulting. All great players. Fox+Mitchell+Zion+Simmons all rank lower for me than SGA. SGA already has shown so much improvement skillset wise in year two.
“This kid reminds me of a 6-6 Chris Paul. He wants to win everything.”

Olin Simplis- SGA’s trainer.

Luka Doncic
Jayson Tatum
Zion Williamson
Trae Young
Ja Morant
Donovan Mitchell
Devin Booker
De'Aaron Fox
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Ben Simmons
Jaren Jackson Jr.

I put Ben Simmons low because i believe he's closing to reaching his prime and he hasn't improved since he's entered the league. Even though he's better than mots these guys right now, I'd rather build around players who i have hope of becoming superstars with improvement each year.

Where's Siakam? Only asking because he's always grouped with Tatum and Simmons

I value smart players who are winners and high upside on this rankings. Right now some players might be better than others but I believe going onward it's pretty solid.

He has been good, but it’s not as if the other 8 guys are bad. They’re all all-stars or guys with greater upside who already aren’t worst (Zion, Morant)

Wow I guess I'm off the charts in my assessment of how great Zion can be. To me he's a GOAT level prospect who has shown he can be a top 5 all time player. Even with injury concerns to me taking any of the other guys above him is just flat out crazy.

I can see the Luka argument but to me...Zion looks like a skills guy who can give you that Harden type of ball dominating offensive chip AND he's uber athletic. History proves a guy like Jordan or LeBron that combines elite skills and athleticism is just going to give you another level of contention, for years.

Having any name other than Luka above Zion is flat out foolish to me. I think this is the type of thread that will look silly in a couple of years.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Siakam is 26, he def shouldn't be grouped in with players 4-7 years younger than him. Don't worry, he won't disappear if he's not involved in a discussion...

:o

I was considering health. Zion's body just doesn't look like it will hold up for the long term. I am not basing this on much, just a guess and I also hope I am wrong about him.

In today's NBA that means making it through year eight (age 27). After that your stud is on to his next team. I'll take that bet.
