Swing and a miss.

right sorry I forgot that a title is so worthless that you wouldn't consider giving up a young asset to win one

You sound incredibly silly and have for many posts.

It’s hilarious because if Ainge traded the future for one year of Kawhi, you’d have clowns like this poster calling for him to be fired and saying “what an idiot trading their core pieces for 8 months of Kawhi”.

There’s something called not mortgaging your future for a rental player but I see that is too hard to understand for this Bucks fan...

Yeah Ainge definitely made the wrong move not trading Tatum and other young pieces for one year of Kawhi. Now he’s stuck with Tatum instead of being stuck with neither Kawhi or Tatum. What a moron.

Considering all Toronto had to give up was DeRozan and DaTurtle[sp?], I'm not quite sure why you're so convinced Tatum would have had to have been a part of the potential trade to acquire Kawhi on a 1-year rental.

EDIT1: Not too mention they got Danny Green playing at a fairly high level out of the deal as well.

EDIT2: Unless, I'm missing something contract-wise. Couldn't Jaylen Brown and Aaron Baynes/TimeLord have been enough. Throw in some chaff to make the money work? That's worth a title. No doubts.

You forgot to add the part about seeing into the future knowing that the Warriors losing 2 of their 3 best players would make the championship possible, rather than just offloading Derozan's contract for a shot at re-signing Kawahi.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

If you know you're gonna win a title every team does that, but you simply just didn't know for sure at that time. A healthy Warriors team was too steep for everyone.

The beauty of it is that it’d be a win-win for us. If we lose? Cool, no one expected us to get this far and no one will expect us to beat Milwaukee. If we win? Cool, Tatum was right when he said what he said in the OP.

I want a matchup with the Nets first. I think it will be epic considering what has taken place in the last decade 8-)
We'll need to take the #2 seed for this to happen.

As for the Bucks there isn't any rivalry. Yes, we met in the playoffs 2 times but there wasn't any bad blood or something(at least i don't remember it)
I don't know what this poster's problem with the Celtics is. I haven't seen any other Bucks fan so aggressive against Boston.
And surely i don't think that Celtics fans have a grudge against Milwaukee.

How are you preemptively saying "this far" nobody expects the Celtics to get upset in the first round, so logically people are expecting the Celtics in at least the ECSF

assuming the Celtics do get the 3rd seed, which is optimistic considering the crowd.

3 games up and more than double the net rating of Miami, really not that optimistic.

I mean they're also 1 game back from Toronto, so they could have their 1st round match up with Brooklyn

the 2 seed is a more desirable scenario for the Celtics, the 3 seed is good, and the 4th seed would be quite bad (likely match up with the 76ers and possible first round exit)

with the 2 seed the Celtics are set up for a cake walk in the first round against the Nets, followed by the winner of the 3 and 6 which would more than likely be Toronto vs Indiana. ECSF home court match up with Toronto looking at the winner of Miami/Philly vs Milwaukee on the opposite end of the bracket. this scenario is ideal for Boston as they save Milwaukee for the ECF and get to avoid Philly, though Toronto will be a strong opponent too. in the 3 seed they're likely facing Indy in the first round and follow up with facing Toronto w/o home court in the ECSF. Celtics should be gunning for the 2 seed in the regular season.

I have no idea what this has to do with anything I said, but yup— obviously the two seed is preferable to the three seed.
