Ding ding ding. I have been saying this for a couple of years now. I still think he didn't want to play ball just before he signed that huge contract. It took him weeks before he signed it once the offer was on the table. Who does that? Most would have driven thru the night just to sign.
Thats how bad Wiggs didn't want to be in Minny I think...
I feel like there is a slight chance Wiggins turns into the player most thought he could be when he was drafted, If not I can see him getting close to that player.
Happiness is a function of expectations, if GSW fans are expecting him to replace Durant thats not likely to end up with anyone happy. If more realistically they are expecting Wiggins to be a younger/more athletic Harrison Barnes that would be a better place to start.
Look I'm a huge Jimmy Butler fan, just a fierce competitor but he was most certainly not the best guy to have around a young, talented guy who was highly recruited, came from a seemingly good family and has been given a lot more opportunity in his career then a young Jimmy did. That was probably just never going to end well.
If WIggins is going to meet his potential anywhere it'll be GS. Wiggins is on a team/organization who can develop him, with the perfect type of players surrounding him to maximize his game. All he has to do is commit fully to defense, play within the Warrior offense, and be content with being a 3rd option. I know thats basically saying he just needs to play better but he has the ability to do all that and more.
