Rock Hardy wrote:The delicious tears of immeasurable sadness sustain us. AG should've put his Tacko dunk earlier. He was awesome on the night, but that dunk as his finale was not a wise move. It was not visually impressive. Not in realtime, nor in slow-mo. He needed to go at it harder, and finish with more power. I can watch Vince Carter end Weis' career a million times on YT, but I'm not going to watch that AG leapfrog of Tacko Fall ever again. One was done in a live game, and it was only a few inches difference. Vince not only annihilated Weis, but he annihilated the rim too. Tacko dunk needed to be earlier. The 360 off the side of the backboard should've been the finale. He would have won for sure with that.

To be fair, this was like the 2OT, of course AG should use the 360 off earlier as not many people expected to have that round.

Cant tell you how disgusted I am with D-Wade.

It’s crazy how something so small can you show you so much about a person.

To bastardize an established competition with decades of precedence and FUN just to make it about yourself as the HEAT GUY. The guy who’s rooting for the Heat players. The guy who wants BAM to win! And the DJJ to win! The guy who is using them as PROPS to be relevant again.

The guy who ran away from the table while Pippen and Common looked at him like the dumb **** he is.

Then he became the guy who had the “let’s get serious” interview when he saw the backlash coming afterward, saying Gordon wouldn’t have lost sleep? This is a guy whose team just tried to trade him and failed. And REGARDLESS, what gives Wade the right to circumvent a logical process? Like the ego that takes astounds me.

Wade really believes he is bigger and more important than he is. And that’s all fine and dandy. I don’t pay attention to a lot of these guys after they retire so I don’t know what goes on with them. But was wades standing with the public good enough for him to think he could rig the dunk contest and everybody would look at that throbbing jaw, smiling and giggling and not be disgusted with it?

What an incredibly unlikeable guy in ESSENCE. It would take him saving 15 Guatemalan refugee children from a natural disaster, using his Easter island jaw as a raft for me to to even begin to like him as a person.

I don’t know about anyone else, but Wade has BROUGHT NOTHING positive or entertaining to my life for years since his one good knee went out in 2014.

So for him to do this massively tips the scale for me as him being an unlikable guy.

So here’s the thing about that— Orlando as a team isn’t winning anything any time that any of us can foresee, but it isn’t about that.

Gordon has done this competition several times and been worthy of the win twice. I can tell you that I care because if you watch sports or competition, at all, you want to see the just outcome—not theatrics or jokes or whatever.

AG clearly put work into this thing and deserved it. It matters for the same reason that it ever matters when people are cheated. Ask the Astros and Dodgers or Aaron Judge.

Pretty sure any guy would be rooting for their old teammates in that same situation. You just have an irrational disdain for him

Again, it wouldn't have mattered to Heat fans for 2 reasons. 1. Your boy won. 2. AG was the better and more creative dunker. If DJJ did AG's dunks and AG just spammed under the leg dunks and AG won, you guys would be outraged. Saying otherwise is a lie.

Also, 80% are outraged, over 300+ people. That means Magic fans are a very small percentage of that. It's Heat fans with the bias here, not Magic fans. Let's not get it twisted.

The Magic need to focus on winning a championship. It's been long enough and our loser franchise and fanbase are focused on meaningless dunk contests . . .

Let.It.Go

Not every single one. He lied and said DJJ had a better night and finish. Those are both false. If people say they personally preferred DJJ, that's fine. If they say he was the better dunker and had the best dunks, I'm not letting that lie go.

Also, I know for a fact that if roles were reversed and DJJ was actually creative and not spamming and AG just spammed the same dunk and Vucevic was a judge Heat fans would be where I am now. We all know no one will admit to that, because you guys got the result you wanted.

Also, stop telling me what to do. I don't know you. Get outta here with that ****.

I actually dont think we would be throwing a fit if the roles were reversed, we knew A.G was robbed last time and we knew he would show up anytime in the dunk contest at any given year.

We you know.. kinda win enough, so we wouldnt throw a tantrum.

Yeah, because we're mediocre who cares about obvious and open cheating in a multi-billion dollar sport. Who cares about corruption?

PSA to my fellow Orlando losers: the fact that we care THIS much about a stupid dunk contest shows why our franchise has never won anything ever. Clown franchise. This is embarrassing. :nonono:

It's fair enough. But now when I say "AG is the best dunk contest dunker of all time" people will respond with "where are his trophies?" Let's be real. There's already a few saying DJJ was the better dunker and has the hardware to show for it. It's bs and false.

I dont think he values to entertain your life in any aspect. So feeling is pretty mutual I would assume.

Classy of you to talk about actual injuries and not worthless dunk competition conspiracies.

It's always hilarious when someone posts something that knows will get a response, gets a response, then essentially says "stop responding, you've made your point." You see how stupid that sounds? I honestly wouldn't have responded to that post but you're clearly talking about me and others with that. Sorry, responding to that 10/10 times.

I agree. I don't agree with cheering for injuries to players. Also, on the court, Wade was as exciting a guard as they come anyway.
