It sucks that he came close yet again, but this time his opponent's dunk where actually better.

I actually agree with this. It could've been AG and Pat. I think DJJ and Pat should've had an extra dunk to advance to the final round.

How so? Do you not agree that he did an under the legs dunk 3 straight times?

I thought Zach Lavine was a top dunker, but this guy Jordan beats them all -- https://www.viralmixer.com/2019/05/12/the-dunk-king-jordan-kilganon-shocks-the-judges/.

Unless it was last night and Wade was the judge :noway: .

He got robbed before the final dunk. AG's one-handed 360 windmill was the best dunk of the night. That should have been the 51 that made the playoff unnecessary. But Jones' windmill from inside the foul line was better than not-quite-clearing Tacko Fall.

Yes, Gordon should have won. But I don't get why Wade is getting all the hate when Black Panther and Pippen gave 9s too?

Ive always felt that ignoring the entire dunk contest and focusing on the very last dunk only is the only way that the wrong winner can get chosen. And that’s what happened last night.

Making an argument that Jones final dunk might have been slightly better than Gordon’s final dunk, and it very well might have been, just fails to grasp the collective work that AG put together last night. It was an all-time great collection of dunks but it will end up forgotten because he didn’t win. Jones was very good last night but he didn’t come close to creativity and diversity of dunks that we saw from Gordon.

I thought his first dunk and then the 360 off the side of the board were the two best dunks of the night, so considering he didn't win...yeah he was robbed.

This is why big stars don't go in the dunk contest. They get all sensitive about losing, when it's just a showcase to entertain fans when it's all said and done.
Why so serious?

lol no, Gordon should've won the contest on the 360 one alone.

because they had all agreed for it to be a tie, and then at the last minute Wade changed his 10 to a 9 to give DJJ the win despite what all the judges agreed on

Yeah man... 24 years old... his career is about over.

Yes, i could be talking too soon. And well his Orlando career is almost over-- he's never going to find success there. So yeah, maybe a change of scenery and being traded to a better team can still save his career.

Some people just like to be contrarian to the popular opinion no matter what it is. It's human nature. There's no debate. The reaction from the world speaks for itself.

My Main Man wrote:People keep saying Gordon had “possibly the best dunk in the history of the contest”. Which dunk are y’all talking about? Honestly his dunks were way crazier and more impressive last time. Still phenomenal this time obviously but not as great as last time imo.

Probably the 360 scoop off the side of the backboard. It was crazy. I have never seen a 360 scoop were the ball is coming at the person and not coming up off the ground or out of someones hand

For a pro Dunker Jordan is pretty overrated. He usually loses to other top dunkers in contest because he doesn't hit his dunks consistently unless he is using the boost over someone. He also has a piss poor attitude and makes excuses or says he was injured every time he losses

Gordon at least tries unique dunks, everyone else just doing the same dunks over and over year in year out. Guy should win it so he's inclined to come back or make a narrative for next year gordon vs lavine rematch. NBA is **** dumb

Popular opinion doesnt mean it's the right opinion. How is there no debate? It was very close..ppl should just come out and admit that they are biased towards x player and disappointed/upset he lost rather than state a subjective case like the dunk contest as if it's a matter of fact that their bias who lost was a robbery.

We can only be impressed by the same dunk so much. 3 times is just too damn many.
