So yeah, sound engineers/producers do a lot. But to all the casuals you guys think the artists go into a studio and perform magic and it just happens somehow, and thats because the media makes it seem that way.

Khalid doesnt make the beat. He has beat makers. He just listens to it and gives his ideas and recruits the artists he wants for each song.

I’m not even a Khaled hater but he’s not even dr Dre or timbaland in terms of how he’s involved in constructing the whole song. He used to make beats and maybe he’s involved in the arrangement of the song, but he’s more a manager/agent/producer than a musician. And when I say producer I don’t mean in the same way as Quincy Jones or even new Kanye. Producer in the sense that he maybe comes up with an idea and gathers everyone else to actually construct the song.

That's not what got him to where he is now though. I'm sure he had to work his way up and learn and do those things well first.

Is that so, though? He was a DJ in New Orleans, and then hosted a radio show in Miami. Do we actually know that he has ever created beats or arranged a song? I thought he was just a glorified hype man who got rappers together for tracks.

Nurse outcoaching Vogel. He's got a bunch of scrubs in comparison to Team LeBron.

That behind the back move from Lebron isna vintage Kobe move from an all-star game in the early 2000's. I remember it well as I tried to emulate it in my mid-late teens. Not sure if on purpose or not, but cool to see! RIP Kobe

He was an actual DJ and hustled as a DJ for a while. and then he made beats for a bitunder the pseudonym beat novacane. I’m not denying he’s a hard worker but he’s not really a musician. He doesn’t make the beats for any of his most recent albums.
