Re: All Star Weekend Thread
It's pretty clear Nurse panders to certain players. He gushed about Kawhi all of last year and this year is over playing Lowry since Lowry loves being out there. He'll also challenge every time Lowry asks him to.

Im glad everybody got to see a glimpse of how he'll be guarded in the playoffs. Same old story.Boardbreaker wrote:Coco Costanza wrote:Boardbreaker wrote:
What do they have to be salty about Giannis got shut down offensively in the fourth and then shied away from the ball.
Nurse is getting heat for the loss. Also, the idea of Giannis joining the Raptors is in their heads.
Blame Giannis for getting emasculated offensively. If anything they should be happy because I’m sure he’s putting up jumpshots as soon as he’s back home.

One plays defense and makes winning plays, the other does neither and is on the worst team in the league
And they act like Lowry is McCaw
McCaw would have had more of an impact than that chucker Trae in today's game

i don't think he scored once they put siakam on him.
He had Siakam on him when he got the curl to the corner for the pullup jumper
I thought that was Embiid.
I remember thinking it was reminiscent of the shot.

Re: All Star Weekend Thread
A lot of things were reinforced to me with this game
1.Kawhi is the best
2.Harden is the worst
3.Lowry is the best intangibles player in the league . Best pure point guard in the game
4.Embiid is super talented but kills the flow of his teammates
5.Giannis gets easily shut down in pressure situations .

I think even I might agree, Trae would have been destroyed by Team LeBron at the end of that game. They'd have targeted him on every possession and ended it quickly

Panders to certain players? The **** are you talking about? First off, it's an all star game. You're reaching. Second, Lowry is the best player in this franchise's history. I'm glad Nurse recognizes that and used his position of power to say **** everyone, and play him the entire 4th cause he deserves it. And about Kawhi, last year. He was the most talented player to every wear a raptors jersey. Why wouldn't you tailor your gameplan to him? **** morons on here sometimes.

Re: All Star Weekend Thread
That was amazing All Star game, Lowry went 100% with it, wish Siakam played better but it is what it is, they HAVE TO keep this format. Imagine having KD, Curry, Kyrie, Klay, Lillard there too.

Kawhi was 1/2 in the 4th with 2 assists to AD and CP3 (Lebron was freezing him out lol), he also basically hit the mini-version of "The Shot" near the end which was amusing.

Was butler injured?? Or hungover? I thought he’d be out there in the 4th. Granted he did have a couple of dumb unforced tos in the 1st but I did expect him to get some burn.
Also, Embiid > Giannis in the half court.

Nurse still couldn't help himself. He still did a 2-PG line-up
