Is Goran the key to Miami's Playoff Success?

Post#1 » by dcee101 » Sat Jan 11, 2020 2:31 am

First, I have to admit I've never been the biggest Goran fan. But with Butler as the veteran face of the franchise and Bam / Herro / Nunn the future, I feel like Dragic is the piece that holds everything together. Miami lucked out big time by not being able to trade him and the fact he's come back with no animosity towards the team and accepted his role speaks volumes about the guy.

I feel a level of comfort when he's on the court. if Miami is going to make a playoff run he will likely be the one to get us over the hump.

He's a key to our success, period. But in playoffs our shooters are the key imo. Without them shooting pretty well, I don't think we can get past elite teams.

Of course. Our playoff chances come down to how well our shooters shoot and how much they give up on the defensive end. For example, Duncan is an awesome shooter and a big part of our offense, but things tend to fall apart once he gets targeted on the defensive end of the ball. He gives up And-1s, our misses feel *that* much more deflating, and then we switch to a zone that usually leads to more fkery. I would hate for him to end up like Steve Novak and become unplayable in the postseason.

I’m curious to see what sort of adjustments Spo makes in the future. Working harder than everyone else is beautiful and a big part of the culture, but working smarter can be sexy too.

Always highly beneficial having a veteran for a playoff push! We need Goran.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

We shot 14/43 from three today and won with hustle and defense.

I remember Gorans lob game was terrible he has since fixed that. I want Dragic head of the scouting department when he retires so he can find as many players like him as possible.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington
