Wait so the belief is that a man obsessed with details, and at least one personal lawyer on his payroll, didn’t have an iron clad will in place?

I do recall back in my college years reading about the parent's problems with Vanessa because she was Hispanic, I believe it was a sports illustrated piece from probably almost a decade ago or so. Plus there was that lawsuit involving them selling some of his High School memorabilia.

Having said that I don't think it's anyone's business on here and Kobe was a pretty methodical guy I'm sure he did his due diligence when it comes to that.

It's been known that Kobe cut his family off from supporting them or severely limited them. His parents won't win against his wife and children unless his parents are linked to assets.

Love your children and accept who they choose unless they prove you shouldn't. Kobe and his lovely wife have been together for so long.

I'm pretty sure Kobe had a lot of Life Insurance and set each of his kids up.
Guy was only 41 and in great health, he probably had some killer policies for his kids.
He had to be a key man for his own enterprises.

If he didn't have this stuff I will be shocked.

It's also pretty likely his family will be able to sue the chopper company for wrongful death.
They will bicker over $$ but his surviving family will be fine.

I don't think that is thew case for the OTHER familes tho and that is really sad.
Some of them probably didn't have life insurance or much of it. 200,000 policy is not cheap for 40-50 yr old people.
200,000 doesn't go far when your family is in shatters and you lose an income.

They will have to sue the chopper company and then may have to sue Kobes estate too and that will get UGLY

Berserk_Raptor wrote:Possibly as most of you, all I knew was Kobe Bryant as the most successful player to ever wear the purple and gold and a huge list of accolades. However , since his death , several videos on YouTube have come out about Kobe’s life off the court. Apparently, his family, parents and sisters used to live off his money until he met Vanessa, and his parents never approved that relationship to the point that never attended his wedding, videos also mentioned that one of the main reasons was because Vanessa was Latin.
Some people also mention that Kobe’s parents could be now after his fortune now that he’s dead.
It is sad but damn money changes people.

Recently I read that his connection with parents after the wedding was hot and cold, but after they tried to sell his memorabilia, Kobe even filed a lawsuit against the company his mom consigned the stuff to.

Inappropriate thread but Kobe wasn’t a dumb guy. I’m pretty sure if the OP’s info is accurate he would have left a trust taking care of his parents and siblings.
