I'll take ANY kind of PG at this point. Not sure why they focus on scoring when a PG's main job is to run the offense and distribute the ball.

Payton is a stop gap on an expiring contract while Frank is a terrible offensive player and DSJ a terrible, complete basketball player with a terrible attitude to match.

I’m not sure why anyone wouldn’t think this is a huge position of need for the Knicks, the problem is that this is a terrible draft for PG’s and there would be nothing more ‘Knicks’ then taking Melo Ball and the circus that would come with him.

Horrible draft for PGs? Point guards are all this draft has to offer other than wiseman, idk what you’re on about.

Yeah, but it's not like you have Trae Young and Doncic sitting there or even a Morant caliber talent. This whole draft class is pretty weak. I'm looking more at next year's class. Knicks will be garbage until 2021, anyways.

I have a feeling the Knicks added the LAC 1st for added leverage moving up to pick LaMelo if they need to. Watch them deal their lotto pick + LAC 1st + Randle + Hornets 2nd for LaMelo.

Yes. That would seem to be logical. That should be their top priority. Come out of this draft with the guy that turns out to be the best player available if not in this entire draft at least based on where they draft.

My fear is that Rose is no different than Mills and they end up with the one guy (a scoring point) that they shouldn't draft (initials CA).

Funny to think all three of those guys were top-10 picks. Maybe they're just collecting a whole team of PFs and top-10 PG busts.

Great, lets draft for need, look at this draft, loaded with more guys that can't shoot or measure 5"11.

Well considering that BPA hasn't produced a single solid 1st round pick in over a decade...

Or is that a scouting issue? This team needs change on every level!!!

David Lee and K. Porzingis are the only decent 1st round draft picks we've had over the last 15 years!

As much as I enjoy poking fun at my hometown team, I have to disagree with only two good 1st rounds picks...

2002- Nene (traded for McDyess) :banghead:
2004- Ariza
2005- Lee (Frye was a miss)
2007- Chandler
2008- Gallinari
2013- Hardaway Jr
2015- Porzingis
2019- Barrett

payton and frank are not scroing point guards.. what are you on about?

we need a PG desperately.. the last good point guard we had was probably marbury. DSJ is not it. a PG with 65% FT shooting and only dunks wont get you anything.

you need a steph, harden, lillard type of guy at the point, lebron is the exception because hes a transformer. We are in a guards/perimeter league, ive been saying this for years. when your guards cant make a damn shot, you team is doomed.

idk about the next rookie class, didnt do any research on that yer and idk if theres any good guards in next years draft. but its definately the right approach

Gee...what makes me think hoping for the next harden with a top pick is a horrible idea for the Knicks?

Harden was a sixth man for a couple seasons before he became the scoring machine...and the Knicks need a coach first.

When was the last time the knicks. Got an instant starter all star Caliber player in the draft????

Oh right KP...what happened...oh thats Right he got booed on draft day and got stuck with melo ball and horrible coaches. now he's a double double machine and defensive stopper on a playoff team...great trade knicks. Timmy hardaway is doing well too. Go figure.

You know maybe...just maybe it's the organization.....

Lemelo ball will fit right in.

I'm split but given the market size and advantages of NYC I'd say the Knicks beat out the king's for overall incompetence.

You make no sense. Lamelo never played with porzingis lmao

The narrative that he's a distraction is overblown and bs. To call lamelo a circus like he isn't in the gym all the time. Unlike many players you actually hear about his insane work ethic but casuals think just because of his dad who doesn't play it affects him or even lonzo. Yaw just haters. If you can't say he doesn't try hard you have no reason to try calling him a clown.

Who's better than lamelo in terms of work ethic ? This why Luka should've went first or Trae young. But people don't pay attention to love for the game.
