Yea, that was weird. Almost insulting the way it was written.

MickeyDavis wrote:Obviously Gary has the physical tools. But so do a lot of busts (I'm not saying he's a bust...yet). Defense is as much instinct as physicality. Some players can get all the right coaching but just can't translate that to on the field performance. Wonderlic is overused. Blake had a 27 and he sucks.
Burks had a 24 and seems like his main problem is diagnosing plays so yeah the wonderlic is not the end all be all.

Let's see how Gary does this year, he'll get a ton more snaps with fackrall gone.

That's the highest salary for a kicker in the league in 2020.

I love it. Mason has been nothing but solid over his career aside from one or two blimps. Certainly beats the alternative of recycling kickers and dealing with double doinks. Kicking across the league has seemed to go down but Crosby has kept his head above the water.

I love Crosby and having a steady kicker is a nice boon but that's just too much money

I don't think the difference you'll have in roster building having your kicker around a $4mil cap hit vs 750k makes as much of a difference as having a disaster at the K spot would.

Now maybe you nail it with a young kicker and youre fine but it's certainly no given.

All we really need to be concerned with in FA is throwing a Godfather offer at Corey Littleton. He's a tackling machine, 1 of the fastest sideline to sideline MLBs in the game and probably the best coverage LB in the game as well. He will sure up the middle of our defense and bring stability to the run D.

Idc about 1 single thing else in FA besides bringing Littleton to GB.

Robby Anderson and Austin Hooper would be a sweet haul and even AJ Green would be sexy. But if we dont find a difference making impact MLB our defense will look almost exactly the same. And Littleton is the ONLY 1 available that can step in and give you immediate star production. Which is 100% what we finally need from the God damn position.

We've suffered through years and years of Aj Hawk, Brad Jones, Blake Martinez, BJ Goodson, Jake Ryan etc. and gotten nothing as a result for over a decade now. That can all easily change and be forgotten with signing Littleton. For **** sake just get it done.

I like Littleton alot but hes not a great run defender so I wouldn't count on signing him fixing the run D. (He would stop us from getting burned in the seam though)

Not that I believe Littleton is Ray Lewis or Brian Urlacher against the run, because that would obviously be silly. But, he's fast as all hell sideline to sideline and he is an impact player in all facets of the game. I understand he excels in coverage a little more than stopping the run but he is still elite in both categories and it doesn't really matter which 1 he favors more. The middle of our defense has been nothing but a pretty face for the other team to cum on for 10yrs now. Sad thing is we've been crazy exposed in every way:

QB runs for 250
RB runs for 220
QB throws for 400
WR catches for 200

All those things have happened against our D in the playoffs every exit since 2011..

But back to strictly Littleton, he's the only available player at the position currently that even stands a chance to fix our biggest issue with it. Hes a must sign this off season because chances of finding a better MLB during Rodgers twilight years is damn near impossible. You would draft a MLB hoping in years 2 and 3 they were almost as good as a Corey Littleton is.

Make the bold necessary move, show the league last year wasnt some overachieving honeymoon HC regress in year 2 type of season.

Dicking around this offseason and not being HEAVILY involved in making the necessary moves to make our team better would just be a complete travesty and a total slap in the face.

With the narrow Super Bowl window in front of the Pack, I don't want them trying to find the cheap kicker who looks good in September, but who shanks 40 yarders in December or January in Lambeau. It's that experiment, or pay for a guy with a track record under adverse conditions. Crosby has usually been that reliable guy.

^^^ On Bulaga, I would have thought he would be back on a short deal. LaFluer's veteran rest program certainly seems to have helped keep Bulaga on the field, but he's no kid either. I have to wonder if the Pack either thinks there's a limited market for him, or they're expecting way too high a price. Basically, no "Goldilocks" price point.

I hope the rumors are true we are making Littleton FA priority #1. Murray and Queen will both be gone by 30 in all likely hood and missing out on the top LB(s) in FA and the draft will be catastrophic.

Maybe 1 of Jeudy or Lamb falls to 30 now with Ruggs running his blazing 40. Probably not but there’s a chance I suppose. And I think Brandon Aiyuk is the best WR no one is talking about. Just my opinion but that dude is a yac machine in the making. Really starting to love the idea of Aiyuk at 30 if Lamb, Jeudy and Ruggs are all gone.

Link?

The only "rumors" I've seen is the Packers are prioritizing Hooper and plan on working on Jones deal

I see the team bringing in 2 new ILBs whether via draft or FA. And 1-2 DLs. I'd love to see Calais Campbell, who might be a cap casualty from the Jags. Maybe Lazard can put in a word for GB with his old teammate haha.
