It's showmanship... I appreciate that... Plus, the game should have never ended at the FT line anyway. Nobody wanted OT... And if you make the first, the second is pointless... Really the only way to make it more of a show is to miss the first.

I could see Kobe doing it... Although he probably wouldn't have told anyone he missed the first on purpose... He probably would have just thrown it off the backboard or something obvious.

Closed his eyes or looked at Embiid who was talking and pop a shotted it with a smile. Mj or Kobe would have made it more of a spectacle especially with them microphones around

My son came home today from preschool with a Clippers backpack that the entire school received. He now wants to use it as his daily backpack. Smart move Ballmer, smart move.

Back when I was in school No Limit Records and Master P did something similar giving backpacks to a whole district and it was smart at the time because it put them in a positive light

This is a test of your fathering skills Doc. As a father of 3, I’ve been there and know exactly what I’d do.

Do the right thing. Send that backpack to backpack heaven . Don’t let Ballmer brainwash your child. It will take years of therapy if you don’t nip this thing in the bud.

Smart, kids are the most impressionable. If Clippers are going to grow their fanbase it's the best place to start

I’d say that’s nice of him and I’d admire his motives to give gifts to children in need, if I didn’t know what calculating scum Ballmer is. Only a no-class piggy like he would give away bribes to kids to have his way enriching himself long term. Bribing kids is off limits, in my marketing ethics book anyway. I could be wrong about his motives, and I also want the Clippers to move to Seattle or Vegas or San Diego. I almost dislike them as much as the Celtics.

Edit: I’d tell him he should keep the backpack but let’s get you a real backpack with a real good team’s logo on it; a better looking and bigger one.

Then the Clips win it all... lol

Update: the clippers backpack was demoted to carrying his clothes/toys when he sleeps over his grandmas. His Nike Vapor Mike Trout backpack continues to be his daily.

This right here makes any clipper backpack look like a bargain bin clearance item at the dollar store.

There is a thread in the gb about Kevin Garnett to the Lakers rumors back in the day. I thought I’d give the young whipper snappers of our board a bit of a history lesson.

On a Wednesday He posted on the Lakers board that KG to the Lakers was a done deal. Ex NBA player and Lakers reporter Jack Hayley reported it on Friday. when it didn’t happen EMPLAY lost credibility with the Lakers board. Hayley lost his job. EMPLAY got teased and ridiculed to the point where he stopped posting.

Later we found out that EMPLAY was actually Eric Pincus now famous sports writer. Slowly but surely he regained our trust back. He doesn’t post as EMPLAY anymore, but his name comes up every once in a while.

there is always somebody that refers to him as EMPLAY and occasionally the KG to the Lakers thing still comes up, though now it is mentioned with a touch of nostalgia instead of ridicule.

I wouldnt stand for anything that resembles them in my household. The only thing red white and blue would be patriotic symbols and the American flag.
