Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
Is there truly a guy you regret the Raptors trading?
Off the top of my head - I hated losing JV, and im glad to see him flourish - but he wasnt a huge loss, compared to what we go. Same goes for Demar. There isn't really a young prospect that we had to trade, that has ever come back to bite us. The only one Im thinking is Whiteside, and I dont know if that really even counts.

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
only a derozan lead team can be down by 12 to the Kings in the 4th after shooting over 50% the entire game.
*probably not his fault. His bench is -25
*can't be his fault anymore. Just got ejected.

This guy is still living in your mind Weird how since he's been having a great season, you've scaled your hating of him to the circumstances of the team he's on.

u act like this is the first time he has a "great" regular season. Every regular season was "great" by your standard. How do u think the mass of people that thinks he's more important than Lowry happened?

His efficiency is significantly better than any season he's had before while not playing with anyone that's anywhere near Kyle Lowry's caliber. Those things matter.

I remember our team desperately needing a shot blocker/center around that time and thinking why did we just let Whiteside go?

On Gerald Henderson vs Derozan:
"Yes. Hendo is quite a bit better than DeMar.
So yes, I do believe he's currently the better player and do project that will continue to be in the future. I would also take Turner over DD."

Joey was a PF in an SF body. In games where Bosh didn't play, he was quite good.
I think we gave Bruno away for nothing. We could have gotten a better asset for him if we had kept him another year.

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
I remember Joey Graham doing a great job of defending post players due to his lower center of gravity, and just being monstrously strong. He'd probably still be bad in today's game, but could have served a really niche specialist role.

Joey graham could easily be a Rondae Hollis Jefferson or even pj tucker type player. I actually think tweeter players like him would be better in today’s game since everyone is going small.

Demar always got the brunt of the criticism for turtling vs. Lebron but JV deserved just as much censure. He was always badly over-matched vs. Lebron and apparently still is. Lots of flashbacks in this Memphis vs. Lakers game.

I only watched a couple minutes of it, though saw JV giving so much wide open space to LeBron on those PNR's. I forgot how much seeing that made me go crazy. People always overlooked/excused how much JV destroyed our defense by refusing to leave the paint.

Re: Former Raptor discussion thread 2.0
Seeing all the heat JV's getting is bumming me out while our current young guns are actually getting developed. So many of our prospects were ruined by Casey. Just imagine if we drafted DeMar and Jonas today and the wonders Nurse would do with them.
