Nothing good came come from this matchup for you. The Bucks would be he heavy favourite against the Raps so if they win, it’s a shoulder shrug by the entire basketball world and if you get upset then it’s suddenly one of the biggest chokes in NBA playoff history. I would think that Bucks fans have higher goals this season then simply winning the east but maybe I’m wrong?
If you check my join date, it would be impossible that I posted on this forum before the ECF last summer
I was confident we would trounce the Celtics even after losing the 1st game. Never was I confident that we would beat a team with Kawhi playing unstoppable ISO scoring offense and playing elite man defense on the other end, not to mention having a DPOY caliber anchor disrupting passing lanes, another super lengthy savvy veteran paint protector, and multiple elite wing defenders.
This year? The Raps are not close to their level last season. Losing Kawhi and Danny Green will hurt your offense much more than most Raps fans are willing to accept here. No doubt the Raps will still be very tough defensively, but their offense will be mediocre without Kawhi and Green. inb4 WaT aBoUt MaLcOlM bRoGdAn
So you think a Raptor team without Kawhi isn’t as strong as one with Kawhi?
This is riveting, ground breaking analysis. You’ve got me on the edge of my seat wanting more.

Almost every Raptor fan acknowledges we aren't really contenders. Not sure which Raptor fans think we're going to be okay.
Danny Green also was a pretty low factor in the playoffs...

Top 5? Nah. Top 20? Definitely. For a late pick to get this good, we should be damn grateful.

That's verifiably false. I could pull dozens of quotes of Raps fans just this month to the contrary

Every fanbase has those that overrate their team. This isn’t some one team phenomenon.
I suggest you address those particular fans and not myself as your reply had absolutely nothing to do with my post. And based on your posting history, I’m pretty certain you rarely read the post you’re replying too because it almost always deviates 180 degrees from the subject.

He said that a matchup for the Bucks against the Raptors isn't ideal.
Either a) you beat us, but you were suppose to b) you lose to us and it's bad, because you lost to a Kawhi-less Raptor squad.

I said that the Bucks would be heavy favourites in any series against Toronto so there’s no upside to you when they win, only the downside of losing in what would be deemed one of the biggest playoff upsets ever. Does that sound like I was predicting the outcome to you? I was just telling you what the reactions to each outcome would be.
But thank you for proving my point and making it perfectly clear that you don’t actually read people’s posts. Or maybe it’s just a reading comprehension thing. Likely both, when you’re not trolling of course. Have a good day.

That's a slanted POV, please forgive me for brushing off another one of your nonsensical opinions. More than likely, a match up with Toronto will either be in the ECSF or the ECF. Obviously going to the Finals would be ideal, should the Raps lock up the 2nd seed and meet the Bucks in the ECF.

Your point is that the Raptors are so insignificant to the Bucks that beating them is a foregone conclusion

Maybe you are too dense to read between the lines, which isn't my problem. Your point is that defeating the Raptors does not benefit the Bucks, because the predicted outcome is that the Bucks will beat the Raptors. My point is that I really don't care if you find it meaningless, because I will find great satisfaction the moment the Bucks defeat the Raptors (or whoever they meet in each round)

As voted by the NBA.com global staff, Siakam was chosen as the 10th best player in the league for the first 55 games of the season.

I'm counting the NBA.com global staff as official. Sue me.
this article is hilarious
on the Siakam section it states:
"Even Siakam's biggest supporters couldn't have predicted him making this sort of leap this season."
clearly the author has never been on RealGM boards

Largely irrelevant when it comes to assessing how they fit into a team's winning strategy.
Siakam's extra-gear on both ends of the court in last year's playoffs, was completely overshadowed by Kawhi's historic run.
It won't be this year.
Fun times ahead.
I love your optimism. I hope so badly that the Bucks match up with the Raps
Well, comparing last year's regular season stats to his playoff performance, he upticked his hustle stats and defensive rating, and his total per game offensive output went from 16.9 to 19.1 at the cost of some efficiency. He Averaged 19.8 in the finals and made Draymond Green look amateurish at times.
The claim i'm making is that he's likely to pick up the pace in similar fashion this year. So it's not that I'm expecting some extravagant and overly optimistic performance burst out of nowhere. He's averaging 23.5 ppg. I can see him getting 25.7 ppg in the playoffs while increasing his defensive intensity.
I for one, think the thread topic is asinine for multiple reasons.
