This is the high point of Celtics buyout signees?

PJ Brown gave them good playoff minutes during the title year. But they also gave way too many minutes to Sam Cassell, who was awful. Which would be my real fear with any of these buyout guys. All the calls for these washed up guys like IT and Evan Turner make me think of bringing in Steph Marbury because he used to be good five years ago. Greg Monroe gave them a lot of good regular season minutes a couple years ago and even put up one of the least likely triple doubles I've ever seen. Obviously he was unplayable in the playoffs, though.

I vote PJ Brown as the best buyout of the Ainge era.

I remember being excited we got Troy friggin Murphy. Lesson learned. That's the last time I really cared about buyouts other than in an obsessive nuerotic transactional realgmer for the kicks of it type way.

I wouldn't close the door on an IT and Celtics reunion. If Kemba's knee continues to act up over the next few weeks I wouldn't be surprised if the Celtics bring in another vet point guard and yes IT will probably be a candidate.

I’d bet heavily it doesn’t happen. He’ll become a distraction.

Curious if Schwartz try’s to push boogie to Boston, just to get him on a roster. Not that I want him just usually agents try to get players to places they have relationships with and Schwartz was pierces agent and a big reason we got kemba.

He wasnt actually a buy out— his contract expired the previous season and he was just a FA. Sam Cassell was a decent buy out, tho

Sam I Am was decent but really frustrating because his shot selection was bad at times.

PJ Brown was a legend for Game 7 vs. Cleveland and the dunk over Kobe, but he wasn't really a buyout guy, just a dude we brought out of retirement.

OK that's fair, but I'd just consider anyone who can be acquired for free right now all in the same bucket, whether a buyout or convincing a recent retiree, or someone from a league that just finished its season. And Sam Cassell was awful in that playoffs. In hindsight he would have played zero minutes.

If someone actually advocates for Lance Stephenson I will scream. I'd rather have his brother (google his name because you won't believe me.)

Is he even going to be healthy? He looked mostly unplayable for the Warriors last year, completely ruined everything they had going on. And then he got injured again? Id avoid him like he plague. Almost feel bad for the guy, he's easily missed out on 150+ million in NBA salary if he never recovers. He could be on the worst contract in the NBA, suffocating some team's payroll, instead he got injured before the payday. RIP, I hate when NBA owners win.

I'm all in on Demarcus Cousins, but only if he can walk.

I’d pass on lance as well. He has this show boat mentality which we don’t need. He has talent though, but i don’t think he can get his head straight, so No!

Brad doesn't like Cousins, reload said this a while back.

And so help me God, if I have to hear about the Morris twins battle in LA I am going to throw up. Those guys get way too much attention as is.

Again only consider IT if something is seriously wrong with Kemba in my opinion otherwise no use.
