If we can get him and keep our own pick while giving up Brooklyn’s then this is a wonderful trade for us. I’m not big on this draft class but I guess it won’t hurt to take a swing at the top names. Worst case scenario is we draft a promising prospect, best case is we trade him for a proven player.
It appears to be heating up but I believe it depends on the other teams more at this point.

Selfishly, a part of me wants this deal to fall through because I still really wanna try to pry Turner from Indy.

Capela gives us more on the interior, and will lead the rebounding brigade. Turner really would only give us spacing, and I'm not sure that's a huge need over the hustle and rebounding Capela

Thoughts on getting us some toughness this offseason? We got too many nice guys.

If we get the first pick, you think this draft is strong enough to maybe package it and trade it away for a decently big fish?

Yeah unfortunately it feels like the #1 pick in this draft is worth significantly less than usual. It could be a key piece in a trade, but you'll have to add a good bit to it if you want one of the elite big fish. It would be a good starting place for Beal though probably. Then you just have to figure out what else to add to it to make WAS bite.

I know we just made a move to potentially solidify our Center position...but I'd jump at the chance to add Embiid. He might be the best center option to pair with Trae.

Wonder if there'd be a way to get a deal done without having to move Collins. Maybe if we took Horford off them as well.

I think it would be hard to make a deal without including some of your high end youth especially when other teams are also bidding against you.

We were bottom of the league in 3-pt shooting last season; adding a guy like Kennard to our bench could go a long way towards fixing that issue.

What are you willing to trade for him?
Doesn't he have some serious injury in both knees?

The tweet reads that Detroit (unsurprisingly) wanted very lax protections on the FRP. I doubt we would be willing to give up a lightly protected first, which seems to be what Detroit wanted, for a guy who will be a fa.

Capela + Huerter for Gobert?

Does that offer even get us in the door?
