Cam's been playing well lately, not sure why people are hating so much, his shooting numbers have actually be night and day compared to earlier in the year, and he's playing legit multi level defense

Nobody is hating on Reddish, his potential as a 3-D wing is there and I'd take him ahead of Hunter and Barrett at the moment, had him like basically just next to De'Andre last june in my board

The issue is with those who pretend that he has a shot to become like the next big star lol, he can be good but he ain't that, ever, starting 3-D wing

We don’t know how good Cam can be. He was a lottery level talent for a reason. I think Luka, Trae, Zion and Ja have people spoiled. Most rookies aren’t stars right out the gate. They take time to develop. .Cam missed all of summer league and most of training due to injury. He was just thrown in the fire and looked lost on offense, but his defense has be excellent all year. Now the game is starting to slow down on the offensive side of the ball and he’s shooting better and playing in control. He looking good out there right now.

Yeah & Cam is definitely more than just a 3 ball guy on offense. 6’9 in shoes with a long wingspan, very good handle & he can get into the lane whenever he wants. His problem has been finishing (a lot bc of strength imo) but he’s definitely been improving in that area. Still needs to continue to get stronger of course.

Yep same problems as in HS and college...
He's a cupcake and if somebody turns him into a killer maybe he will become a respectable role player . But given the way the league is now I doubt anyone will invest enough in that happening for it to turn out for your advantage.
I mean if you walk into a room full of kids and ask who wants to work today Cam will be like the 90% that don't even look up from their phone until you beat them with it

It's painfully obvious when folks just say words and don't actually know anything.

Just like when you said Trae wouldn’t ever be an all star or how Collins was going to drop off after he came back from his suspension... & there is plenty more. I actually feel even better about Cam’s future now!

Trae ain't done **** that equates to success. He is as I always said a turnstyle defender that as a all star starter couldn't even get minutes in crunch time of the all star game because of it...
Yeah I've been wrong about how much Trae would be loved by fans for his antics... I mean flopping when anyone gets close to him and getting the call every time is just the league allowing the $ train to keep bringing in the cash from the fools who see good basketball when in Fact it ain't. If ATL ever actually drafts anyone good and they make the playoffs with Trae at the head of the snake you will get your rude awakening . Reddish is even worse and Collins looks weaker.

Cam has some good skillsets. Nice low handle, good enough first step to get by most defenders, decent shot that's getting better, solid passer, good anticipation, and reflexes.

It's just he has the vertical explosiveness of an WNBA player. If he improves just a smidgen in that area, he'll be a star. He's awesome defensively on the perimeter. Could be better playing post defense but that will come with added size and strength.

There has been plenty of hate on Cam Reddish on this site...an excessive amount for a player and team who are largely inconsequential at this point.

Most of this thread in the early going in fact.

The general board was taking shots at him pretty frequently his first couple of months as a rookie.

To an absurd extent.

Cam's progressing really positively in my book. I wish we had him instead of White right now.

Ha I know lol! I'll give him that one. He's certainly got a ton of potential as a shot maker.

if he could learn to be consistent with that he has Lou Will J-Crossover role potential for his career.

Back on topic though. Cam's confidence is clearly coming around and it makes loads of difference at this level. Whether by choice or circumstance props to the coaching staff for allowing him to get here.
