Jayson Tatum with a damn strong 18pts second quarter! Boston playing well without Kemba....only down by 2 after two quarters!

Re: Around The NBA: 2019-20 Season #2
Refs ruined the Celtics Lakers game as usual when James plays. I forgot for a few minutes that I don't normally watch games with James because of that bull. Another great game going down the drain because of the refs not calling the game like it should be.
If Silver wants to do something for the good of the game without changing any rules, at least he could stop this blatant biased reffing. It would make the NBA way more watchable.

Am I wrong or has the Bucks dominance not being talked about enough? They currently have a point differential of 12.4. Every team that has had a point differential of 12 or more has won it all.

I don't know how to say this without sounding silly but they seem underrated to me.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

I agree. It seems the general consensus is which of the LA teams is going to win it all. I'll be shocked at this point if the Bucks aren't the champs come June. As long as they they stay healthy.

I'm probably the only one but I don't see the Bucks winning it all, they're doing a lot better than I expected but I feel come playoff time they're going to choke. I'd love to see any team win other than the Lakers, but unfortunately I think they'll be given too many favourable calls come playoff time

I think most people don't talk about them because they are not convinced the Bucks will be able to win the title.
People are kind of expecting them to get to the finals and then Giannis to get kind of handled and the Bucks to lose to the Lakers or Clippers.

Yeah that's kind of my point. Bucks are flat out better than both those teams. Right now it's not even close.

They get a ton of flak because they don't have that "second star" but find me a better overall team and supporting cast. 2/3 into the season and they haven't had any throw away games or blunders. They have been incredible.

I'd argue that Middleton is that 2nd star. He's taken a step this year, and looks like a legit number 2.

In the NBA its hard to believe a team can win a title until it actually happens. Even the clippers and lakers have doubts surrounding them, but as soon as a team wins we will all collectively have the "of course that team was going to win" moment.
With that said i am not a believer in the Bucks yet, they are great with maybe the most dominant player in the league but i still need to see how Giannis's role guys do late in high stress games. Right now they are rolling through the regular season but the playoffs is never easy after the first round. What happens when good defensive teams force Bledsoe, Middelton and the others to beat them? if they can mimic what the Raps players did for Kahwai then yes they can win it all.
Last season people had their doubts about this same issue and the Bucks fans told everyone how stupid they were, you essentially have the same roster but with more experience. I value experience in these matters, but i still have to see it play out.

I agree, but the Clippers and Lakers have 2 superstars whereas the Bucks have 1. So most assume they would be similar to the Warriors rolling over the East.

I actually kind of feel this way as well. That team is a deep, veteran team with an all NBA talent as the lead, but something about it screams "vulnerable" / "regular-season-beasts" to me. When defenses get (and are allowed to be) tighter in the playoffs... well, we saw what happened on Giannis in the ASG, and do you trust Middleton, Bledsoe, Wes Mathhews, DiVincenzo, George Hill to get them out of that? Can they maintain the same defensive intensity when the shots aren't there are aren't falling?

Re: Around The NBA: 2019-20 Season #2
Nobody is talking about the Bucks because they're still unproven despite their regular season dominance. They got themselves all the way to the EC Finals last year with Giannis doing his thing, but they then lost 4 straight to the eventual champs after dominating the first two games in that series. Giannis was held to 20/10 on 43% shooting in those losses; he averaged 27/12 on 52% shooting in their previous wins. Giannis also still can't shoot (31% from deep this season... his best % in his career), and that was something the Raptors exploited to eventually take that series. Until you get that ring, unfortunately regular season record really doesn't matter all that much (remember the 73-9 Warriors?).
Now LA happen to have proven champions in LeBron and Kawhi along with their second options in AD and PG13. You can see why the media would rather talk about their potential than a team led by Giannis, Middleton, and Eric Bledsoe.

Re: Around The NBA: 2019-20 Season #2
The Bucks are stacked and a legit favorite for the chip, but I still think they're a vulnerable contender. They don't have an elite 3P shooter off-the-dribble; a bail-out super shooter is a must-have.
Lebron, Kawhi/George, Harden, Kemba can do it. Bledsoe and Middleton can kind of do it, but far and away from that class.
They have a lot of shooters, so they're not necessarily handicapped, but if it becomes a shoot-out in the end, which most playoff games come down to (who can make the difficult daggers), you look at the top West teams... all comes down to health, but 4 other contenders have something the Bucks don't.
My finals pick is still MIL in the East though, but can totally see BOS pulling an upset and everyone losing their ****. Kemba is going to be unleashed in the playoffs for the first time; he'll be fun to watch.
West is largely LAC vs LAL , but laugh away... I can see a HOU scenario if they luck out with their bracket/match-ups.

People are overlooking Middleton. He's been better than Paul George.
Bucks are being over looked due to perception, not what's actually happening on the court.
