Aaron Brooks? Christian Wood is a fantasy stud for tanking teams, putting up way better numbers than Kuzma ever did with big minutes, but he has little to no impact and can't crack a rotation when a team is actually trying.

Plenty of examples, don't make me start looking. He's closer to a scrub than an impact player and that's not debatable.

scrub is harsh. I think he's a rotational player and probably needs more development time. He did play well today, he was locked in. I think it can go two ways for him. The intensity of the playoffs will cause him to stay locked in, its so different. The intensity for this game was probably more than the clippers game and he did well in the clippers game.

Or scenario 2. The moment is too big or the teams are too complex, particularly as they advance in the playoffs and like Jordan Clarkson in '18, he sits out and doesn't get playing time and Markieff takes his spot.

I personally don't think he's ready, but it wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong or be glad to be wrong. I picked wilder to win against fury last night and was wrong and man, what a performance by fury. Sometimes, gotta give credit where credit it due.

Maybe now with more of a wing role, we’ll get to see Kuzma on the run a bit more — cutting and slashing. Kuzma on the run is a good Kuzma. Like last year. Scrub, my ass. Just about to break out is more accurate. I thought it’d happen this year. Maybe I’m a year off, but he’s gonna break out.

Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

PG: Luka / Vincent / Bronny
SG: Smart / Reaves / Knecht / Mañon
SF: LaRavia / Rui / Thiero
PF: Bron / Vando / Kleber
C: Ayton / Hayes / Koloko

Breakout into what? What's his ceiling according to you?

I thought we’d been though this ceiling talk at great painful length already. Re-read thread, I guess ... :dunno: You won’t, so I’ll remind you: max ceiling potential for Kuzma, according to me, as described as nauseum in the early pages of this thread.

Third best player on a championship winning team, impact on the game comparable to other third best players on repeating championship winning teams. Like Worthy would reliably be running the break next to Magic and KAJ, Kuz can and will play one flank alongside LBJ and AD. If not with us, he’s good enough to do it anywhere. He’s a baller, a winner.

And now he plays both ends.

I was more so talking about individually as oppose to impact to a contending team because I was expecting that answer. I wanted to know where you'd think he stand in comparison to current stars similar to his age if and when he breaks out. I've heard the worthy example in this thread multiple times.

That would be like me saying, I believe Siakam's ceiling is second option on a contending team. It's true but It doesn't really describe what his ceiling is individually and where he would currently stand in the league among his young colleagues.
