But yeah, he's definitely better than a lot of guys who were drafted.

If Langford went for 19/9 on 7-15 from the floor and 2-5 from deep in his first ever start, this board would be doing backflips talking about how great he is.

Well yeah because he's a really good defender. I didn't mean to be so rough on Naz, his game just looks really janky for the current NBA to me, especially defensively. Langford would probably be getting 25 minutes a game on the Wolves.

Well sure, he’s a rookie making his first career start.

I don't think Wiesman will drop to 14, but if he does, i really ,really really hope the griz fall to 13.

He won’t fall out of the top 3. Probably goes first overall

Someone who has been standing out is Matt Haarms.

He is 7-3, that is why he seems head and shoulders above the rest.

Get him into this draft, get him with a very late first, or a second rounder, he is an interesting prospect.

Seems really mobile, agile, and has learned to shoot from outside, 37% from 3 this season.

At some point, Udoka Azubuike has to start rocketing up draft boards?

Those who said he was going undrafted will then say he is a lotto talent?

Our biggest needs are interior defense and a stretch big. I like Reggie Perry as a big body and Killian Tillie as a stretch big.

An ideal draft for me right now (if we kept our picks which I know is unlikely) would be:

Tyrese Maxey
Saddiq Bey
Reggie Perry

I would like Tillie a lot more without the injury concerns, but his ability to stretch the floor and defend the post is hard to find. He reminds me a lot of Bjelica and I thought that type of player would have been a big boost for us at the trade deadline. In a weak draft I am not sure why he isn't liked more, as his game translates pretty easily to the next level IMO. Guess he isn't as sexy as far as upside but I am not sure why he won't spend 8-9 years in the league as a strong rotation player. Every team is desperate to find stretch bigs who aren't total defensive liabilities.

For me if all three picks are kept and around their current locations

Carrey Jr
Nesmith
Tyler Bey

Would be ideal.

I’ve narrowed down my choices with the Memphis pick to Jaden McDaniels and Zeke Nnaji. Would be happy with either guy in the 10-16 range.

Later in the draft they need to pick up another shooter and another big depending on what they do with the MLE. If they sign a MLE big then I’m fine going with another point guard seeing as this draft is supposed to be deep with them

It would make sense to Keep only 2 x 1st Rounders, and Trade the 3rd into the 2nd Round, and/or a Future pick.
It would help to better utilize those 2 x Two-Way Contracts.

It's either that, or we've got to make some type of unforseen Future Trade.
Trust in Danny.

Yeah, there's no way they can keep all 3 first round picks. It would make sense to trade at least one away, and maybe two.

This team needs a point guard, a wing three-point shooter, and a post. Some of they players I'm intrigued by:

Aaron Nesmith (good size for a 2, best 3-point shooter in college this season)
Daniel Oturi (post rebounder/shotblocker who can also shoot a little)
Tyrese Haliburton (tall point guard with extremely high basketball IQ)
Theo Maledon (big foreign point guard with a lot of upside, maybe a draft and stash?)
Udoka Azubuike (big, strong center who continues to develop and is having a great senior season)

I haven't seen much college basketball this season, but am hoping to see a lot of March Madness.

Will be at the Duke game tonight. Will be curious to see Carey; he's not my personal cup of tea but obviously still worth assessing.

The current NBA standings are pretty interesting with that OKC/Philly first round pick. Would either team pull some funny business at the end of the season?

Obi Toppin is not being slept on. The guy will go top-3 without a doubt.

Also, Vernon sucks as an NBA player, no way I'm wasting a first on him.
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

Maybe I’m just reacting to mocks, but I keep seeing Obi around 10 and I just dont get it

Because I left him out of my last homer post, immanuel quickley should be noticed. He is only 6'3 but is oozes 3 and D. Deadly when left open, always guards the other team's best backcourt player, from PG to 6'8 wing.

Doesn't create his own shot super well yet, but is getting better, and is becoming a driving threat because of the respect defenders have to show his J. He is starting to show a pretty floater in the lane and decent passing vision.

Would be great coming off the bench.

Starting to get some pub. I read an article the other day that said he is one of top three PFs in the draft. Some dude on espn was talking about him as top 5 pick if Dayton makes a run.

Intelligent drafters aren't using any of these recent games and future NCAA games as a reason to have players rise up their boards. That's foolish, but it does happen all too often.

I feel like Scottie Lewis was tailor made to peak Ainge’s interest:

-Former top high school recruit [#9 per RSCI]
-Good frame [6’5 with a 6’11 wingspan]
-Great athlete
-Fantastic defender
-Plays with an incredible motor

Dont see the fit after we added Romeo, but Ainge drafts for BPA, not fit.

Know it was an off game for Carey but man I was not impressed. He got absolutely WORKED by a bit of a stiff in Olivier Sarr in the paint. Just hacked him constantly and beaten for position in the post /for rebounds all night. Zero passing skills shown as well.

Watching that, I don't know how you can see him as a 1st Rd pick.

Bad game.

He needs work, but there is alot of talent and potential there. Not too often you are getting someone at the 17th pick who will be an immediate difference maker and a closer to finished project.

The location of the 3 picks is going to be interesting. Carey might be there at 27.

Tyler Bey (ferocious defender and rebounder, improving offense)
Saddiq Bey
Pat Williams
Nesmith
Amar Sylla (Pascal Siakam/Dieng typeof player, lot of heart and endless motor)
Vernon Carey Jr
Jahmius Ramsey (Marcus Smart Jr with a bit more offense than Smart had as a rookie)

Been growing alot on the idea of Ramsey, Tyler Bey and Sylla

Would be a crushing defensive bench if Hayward is back and starting

Kemba/Smart/Waters
Brown/Ramsey/Romeo
Hayward/Bey/Tax Payer MLE
Tatum/Grant/Sylla
Theis/Timelord/Tacko

imo the top defensive team in the league, easily.
