Sure I'd love Saric back as a backup 5, I agree on that. Depends on the cost obviously but I can't see him having a super robust market.

I've been rooting for okobo and still believe he's talented but Carter is simply the better option now and if he can be brought back cheap I'm cool with that and Okobo is definitely on the bubble.

The booker leaving thing. With any player it's a complex situation with some things a team can control and some they can not. Guys all stay or leave for unique reasons, we've seen guys leave very good teams. Best to really broach the subject seriously in the summer of 22, he'll be early extension eligible and with 2 years left on his deal he'll have some power to ask out but still a high trade value. Figure it out then.

The Chriss, Bender, JJ thing every time they have a decent game. It's easy to say just keep all young guys and be patient but the reality is you always have to make some choices on guys because at a certain point they clog up your cap The three would have been around 21 mil combined this season and if you add in TJ you're looking at 33ish mil. Plus playing time, there comes a time by the end of a rookie deal where you either need to play or get rid of dudes. Bender and Chriss are fun little reclomation projects on minimum deals now but that's not the case if you have them on the final year of a lotto pick rookie scale. Memphis didn't pick up Jacksons option so he'll be a UFA this summer, I bet nobody pays him the 9mil he was set to earn on the 4th year of his rookie deal.

The projects that are easier to be patient with are the Leaque, Okobo, even Diallo types who are young and super cheap basically just costing you a roster spot. Plus being later picks there isn't the pressure to actually play them if they aren't ready.

I like keeping Lecque and Diallo, but I think we should move on from Okobo. I would have no problem bringing Bender back for I think he could do what Saric does for us. I am getting more and more intrigued with going after Valentine. I don't know who mentioned him a month back, but I was wanting to trade for him ever since he was mentioned. I think he would be a good combo guard off the bench.

I think the Chriss drafting is the hardest pill to swallow, for it cost us Bogdan and multiple picks. I really don't care if he has a decent game every once in a while, he just doesn't seem to have the IQ needed to be a solid role player. Even though TJ would have cost us money this season, we should have received a bigger return for him. It really came down to the poor managerial choices of trading for Tyler, and not stretching Anderson. We would have been close to being able to keep Warren with smarter cap moves.

That's a good point. Seems like Jones will want to prioritize some degree of continuity and also give "his" guys a chance to prove him right with a healthier season, but it's still kind of hard to take the over on that bet. Could easily be just like 7 guys coming back with everyone else turning over.

Gambo said on his show that Oubre felt pain in his right knee after the game against Utah and he will have an MRI to know exactly what is happening.

So tomorrow we will know more, but they do not know for now why he has pain in his knee.

Not looking good.

What happened to our medical staff? We went from people wanting to come here , and people saying our medical staff is the best, to having our players out 50% of the season

This will be Kelly's third missed game this season.

Did I say Kelly? Said our players. Is this your first year following the suns? Do you even recall the years we bragged highly of our medical staff?

How many total games had , Kaminsky, Baynes, Saric, Johnson missed? Thats core of our bench

Yeah, I'm taking the over too.

But even if we have 10 players coming back next season we will need to add 5 new faces to the roster via trade/FA/draft. Hopefully we nail some of those acquisitions.

Oh, so it was a non sequitur. Like being mad at our medical staff after seeing a picture of the gorilla shooting t-shirts out of a cannon. Got it.

This medical staff is all new this year. The old staff (Aaron Nelson and crew) went to the Pels.

58 games played
50% of 58 is 29
Saric has missed 7 games
Kaminsky has missed 26 games
Baynes has missed 22 games
Johnson has missed 13 games

None of them reaching your 50% threshold.

If you want to blame someone for the injuries to Kaminsky and Baynes look no further than Deandre.

That’s a pretty good list. I think only one of Saric or Baynes will be back.

Deandre didn't fall on Baynes which happened against Boston which injured him. Saric or Kaminsky didn't get injured while Ayton was out either. I know you don't like Ayton but it's done. Move on. You should watch the games. He's doing well.

Suns problems are institutional. Nitpicking most of these players is rather pointless.

One main issue is they’re on their second incompetent GM in a row. Passing on Colby White for Cam and Saric is inexcusable and indefensible. And you don’t have to hide behind the draft’s “too early to say” canned excuse. It was a wretched move the moment it was announced. Jones is in over his head.

The other issue is building around Booker. Every move is seen through the prism of getting Booker the support he needs. And it’s lapped up by a soft media and desperate fanbase. Booker is never leading the Suns to a playoff contender. He’s not a star. Continuing to position him as a viable centerpiece undermines the entire building effort.

Kaminsky broke his knee cap and Baynes got a bad thigh bruise. Neither of those or Saric rolling and ankle are anyone's 'fault'. Not Ayton and not the training staff. I have no idea if they are good but those types of injuries just happen.
