I don’t think we’ve ever seen someone that huge bounce back so quickly & so emphatically from such a nasty tear. And even disregarding his size, just in general. He looks better than he’s ever looked. Dallas bound, gagged, and completely robbed the Knicks blind

He took about a year and a half off, and now he is playing on a much better team, with a top 5 player in the league. He has all the room to do what he does best, and he is taking advantage of it.

The question was never his talent, it was whether he can remain healthy and that is still the biggest question mark for him.
Why so serious?

People can say what they want and argue about it, BUT I would LOVE to have him back in Chicago. He's still good and can play. He would be nice mentor to Coby.

He’s become an efficient scorer, but so what? He’s still the same tunnel visioned player whose game doesn’t translate to wins. He drags teams down & players get worse just by being on the court with him. The only time he’s ever been a part of a truly successful, winning squad, was nearly a decade ago, when he had one of the GOAT defenses behind him (that he really didn’t even have much to do with), and a rookie coach that took everyone by surprise

I don’t think there’d be many worse mentors for White. Rose’s black hole tendencies are the precise things we’d like White to move away from.

Do you watch pistons games? I do because I’m interested in Doumbaya. Rose doesn’t play winning ball, he’s a selfish stat stuffer, and he’s looking to go to a contending team. I watched him on the Wolves too. He shot them out of quite a few games last season, and has done the same on Detroit this year. Fans of both teams can’t/couldn’t stand him

If Chicago signed rose, I think I’d be done with the team for good, or at least until old man dorf croaked

derrick has never been a selfish player. he's NEVER had a good complimentary supporting offensive cast. blake griffin has been out most of the season, was awful when he DID play, and derrick is still putting up nearly 8 assists per 36 minutes. the 2nd most productive offensive player on the roster has been some min-salary waiver wire guy named christian wood

earlier in the thread you lauded the mavs for "robbing" the knicks in the porzingas trade. KP is a low efficiency scorer who hasn't been much better than derrick overall, yet the mavs gave up 2 first rounders for the privilege of paying him over $30 mil a year coming off major injury! meanwhile derrick is being paid $7 mil a year

hope the pacers don't spoil potential heat-sixers first round matchup!

houston-OKC would be nice as well, though that one's very unlikely even though they are currently 4-5 in seedings

I wonder what Marv and Jim Jackson were drinking at half time "for three"..."Antonio Davis"

**Didn't know how to upload a link from Vimeo to play directly on here so there's a link below

Marv does this quite a bit with shots well inside the 3 point line

Man, lebron might end up beating two teams in the finals that won over 70 games. I hope Milwaukee doesnt get to 70, dont want to hear that narrative play out this summer.

I don't really see any team in the WC getting in his way.

Try it my friend....it works...I just needed 3 days and 3 500 repetitions. Now I am really convinced he's not going to the finals.

The secret is just that you have to say it LOUD....no matter where you are....just say it very loud: Lebron is not going to the finals! No ...no ....no......!

Ten NBA Things by Zach Lowe

2. Zach LaVine's missing playmaking
LaVine is a trooper. He plays huge minutes every game. He says and does the right things when his coach criticizes him in the media. Chicago averages 99 points per 100 possessions when he sits -- so much worse than the league's clankiest offense that it's embarrassing.

But it's fair to ask what level of creative burden LaVine can handle given his status as Chicago's best and maybe only reliable perimeter starter going forward. (It's hard to assume anything about Otto Porter Jr.'s future in Chicago, or anywhere, at this point.)

LaVine can contribute to a good team. He is a star-level shot-maker. But evidence suggests he is overtaxed in his current role.

This is it in a nut shell. He's a great 2 or 3 in the pecking order but he needs major help and a #1.

The question with Reddish has never been talent, just consistency. He may never become consistent.... But if he does....

If there is anymore fuel one could need to find dislike Harden, from the ESPN interview:

“When it’s all said and done, they’ll appreciate it more. I wish I was seven-feet and could just run and dunk. Like, that takes no skill at all. I gotta actually learn how to play basketball and how to have skill.”

Dude, just play and try to reach a conference final in Houston.

Watched the Cavs-Pels game.

The Pelicans could be a contender just next year. They have an incredible amount of talent that seems to have a good attitude. They were running plays out there that the Bulls couldn't dream of. They need to work on their defense but that is to be expected with a team that young.

Zion looks both incredible and terrible at the same time. He is dam near unstoppable offensively. People much taller than him just bounce off him. Beyond that, he is great at getting quick posts ups so he pins people under the basket. His post shots aren't normal post shots. They are layups in effect. OTOH, his conditioning is TERRIBLE. He is conserving energy the whole time. If its not a fast break, he is the last guy down the court on both sides. Isn't aggressive going at rebounds.

If he stays healthy, loses a little weight and gets in shape, he could be a top 5 player next year. I do wonder about his longevity though.

Clippers are still the best team and my pick for them winning it all hasn't changed. Tonight's game is a great example how they can smother an opponent. Health is the only thing they need to worry about.

Giannis has thrown 2 shots at Harden. I dislike harden as much as the next, but I won't fault him for standing his ground.

Plus, defense aside, I kinda agree with him.
