Tyrell Terry and Spencer Jones
Looks like Stanford got two good Freshman that were not highly touted. I really like what I see with my eyes and in the stats with Terry. He's small but he rebounds like a big, at least, in numbers. It's kind of crazy. If he can put on some strength he looks like NBA talent to me.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Re: Tyrell Terry and Spencer Jones
Terry looks really legit, no chance he is only 6-1, looks clearly taller
He is not as quick as Trae, probably not the passer either, but has that type of game
Not a bad passer but also not that type of offense, Stanford shares the ball a ton, not loading up on one guy just doing everything (I think Terry could be capable of that, his live dribble is good)

Apparently it's just you and me on the Terry train here lol.

Is nobody watching Stanford? Terry is putting up really good numbers and he's going to get a lot better as he gets stronger.

like Tyrell, but I doubt he's a 1AD, not really including him in the 20 draft at this point until he is officially is in.

Re: Tyrell Terry and Spencer Jones
I think it's a coin flip at this point whether Tyrell comes out. Honestly, even though he's clearly not physically ready, he definitely should test the waters and if there is a good chance in him being first round, he should definitely come out. Same goes for Spencer Jones tbh, although he's obviously physically ready.

Re: Tyrell Terry and Spencer Jones
this is just too deep of a point/combo guard class, if there's one thing that's deep about this class it's that position
Stanford is a frickin awesome place too, don't think anyone goes there just to leave after a year. maybe he leaves but I doubt it at this point and I think staying back and being a top 3 PG for next year is a good trade off

How is it too deep? I don't really like any of the point guards in this class tbh. I dont' like anybody this class. Terry is one of the few guys I like.

pg/combo guards are like the only good thing about this class:
Hampton
LaMelo
Cole
Haliburton
Hayes
Maledon
Nico
Tre
Maxey
that's 9 right there in the first round, and that doesn't even include if guys like Dotson and Kira.
i'm not saying i'll take all of those guys over Terry but that's a lot of competition at his position in a weak class almost everywhere else.

I can list a bunch of bigs too that doesn’t mean they’re any good. None of the guys you listed scream star to me so it’s all fair game as far as I’m concerned. Terry is a better shooter than all of them. That much I’m confident of.

Officially on this kid Terry's bandwagon. I have to dig deeper on Jones, but Terry is a knock down shooter. He also has the ability to create his own shot so that makes him especially intriguing. He'll probably always be a doormat defensively but I don't see why he can't be a great sniper off an NBA bench.

His defense is fine, he will get abused by some guys 1on1 cause they are stronger, but he is a good team defender
My issue is with his creation off the dribble, it just ain't there, he is a really good shooter with IQ and ability to move the ball, but he is not initiating no offense

No chance he doesn't get targeted at the next level unless he adds a ton of strength. Shot creation for himself and others shouldn't be an issue with his handle and jump shot. He doesn't have to be Trae Young, he can be more of a Lou Williams (not saying he's either, just comparing style of play).

Re: Tyrell Terry and Spencer Jones
he's gonna struggle at the point of attack defensively but as long as he's passable from a team defense standpoint it's fine, on ball defense for guards isn't really that important as long as the player is putting effort there

Lou is a stud athlete, not even close, also Terry's handles are below avg for a lead guard

I'm referencing their style of play, nothing more. Handles can be improved. News flash, a 19 year old isn't a finished product!

Terry needs to put on aaaaa lot of weight and get aaaa lot stronger in order to hold up at the NBA level. I see him as a late 2nd round pick. I’d rather have Isaiah Joe or Myles Powell if I’m looking for a shooting specialist.

When you say "hold up", what do you mean specifically? I mean, Isaiah Joe ain't heavy man.

Joe is 180. You can work with that. Add 10 lbs. No big deal. But 160? Yeesh...
I’m saying he’s relatively frail for his height. Smaller guys tend to get injured more easily.
