Hate to even have to say this, but:
Wash your hands, often, with soap.
Cough and sneeze into your elbow.

Is it normal for virus to live on surfaces for 2 days? That's what sounds most alarming to me. Luckily, the stuff I buy from China is in shipping for weeks.

Edit: I think I will also stay away from restaurants until this blows over. This is what is going to wreak havoc on the economy. The service industry is going to get nailed.

Massive run at the local Costco’s on items such as bottled water, toilet paper, wipes and canned fruit. With the west coast appearances of the virus, it’s only a matter of time before the rest of country gets it. People need to use common sense and do what they can to protect their families

This coronavirus is beginning to kick our ass. There are now over 708 cases in the US. We have added over 100 cases each of last 4 days. There are over 150 new cases today. On March 1, there was only 75 cases.

A lot of people might get it but so far of the ones that it has killed 70% of them are age 60 or over and the vast majority of those killed have had other health problems that have compounded the issue.

Interesting to see Seattle banning gatherings of more than 250 people which leads to the very real
possibility Oregon, sitting in between the two states with a large outbreak (Washington and California)
likely has a large number of un-diagnosed CV patients. Makes me wonder if there is a major spike of
cases in Oregon, whether we'll see NBA games played without the fans in attendance.

There was 704 cases on 3/9 and 1016 cases on 3/10. A 45% increase in 1 day. Time to wake up if you didn't notice this is a serious problem.

It's going to be a different couple of weeks for social distancing is going to be the norm in lieu of
any known treatments. People will have to stay close to home to stop the spread of the disease
and we'll get through this but things will likely get worse before it gets better.

I don't understand why it's better to have games in less infected cities. Less infected cities should say no thanks, we rather stay less infected.

This is not the flu - and we are not getting the leadership necessary to effectively combat this Pandemic. Estimates have been cited at 70 to 150 Million Americans will contract the coronavirus - if only 50M contract the desease and 10% of them are hospitalize - that's 5M beds to treat the respiratory symptoms that come with this disease. America now has only 1M total Hospital beds and we are being very non chalante about our response. This has to be taken seriously.

I thought it was responsible of Chad Doing to cover this topic on his program today - but many of the uninformed opinions were doing a disservice to the listeners. Why aren't all the Walmarts - Rite Aids - Kaisers and other community center announcing free testing - other than there are not enough tests available.

I think we’re headed towards total lock downs (social distancing) which is going to be the
Norm for prominent names like Tom Hanks have tested positive for the CV. This country
Hasn’t done anything to greatly ramp up testing and could be really harmed if the hospitals
Are swamped by enormous numbers of newly sick people.

Best to shut down all the games and mimic the actions of the mayors of Seattle and SF and shut
Down large gatherings.

Our leadership is fine. We are lucky we have a President taking timely action. We don't always have a President with courage to make tough decisions.

I notice the US media is using a tragic pandemic to escalate their misinformation crusade.

President cancelled all travel from Europe. I'm sure there are more restrictions to come.

He should shutdown the stock market. It's only fueling panic. I wish we had a responsible media.

Very likely next week is going to be a terrible week for the economic impact of the CV is going to
apparent. There will be major disruptions in our everyday lives and most of us will have to hunker
down in our homes which is why Costco and the grocery stores are being slammed as people are
starting to understand what is going on and everyone needs to take of their own families lives
and not expect the politicians to help them.
