I think the real winner here is Ned Yost for putting Chris "I'm worse than Will Ohman" Capuano in to pitch.

Since June 3, the day that stretch began, the Cubs have the best record in the National League (46-33). In fact, they have a better record since June 3 than any team in baseball except the Yankees (who are an even scarier 52-29).

I am so pumped for the end of the season run. I am more excited than '89 and '03. For some reason the way this team plays I have the most confidence in them than any other Cub team. Pitching staff looks good, bullpen is shaping up and the offense just clicks in several different ways. Now only if we could get Soriano to f'n bat 5th we'd be alright.

I am so pumped for the end of the season run. I am more excited than '89 and '03. For some reason the way this team plays I have the most confidence in them than any other Cub team. Pitching staff looks good, bullpen is shaping up and the offense just clicks in several different ways. Now only if we could get Soriano to f'n bat 5th we'd be alright.

Kendall in the 2-hole is something I support as well. DeRosa has just been more consistent all year and doens't deserve to be that low in the order. Def not behind JJ and you can't two lefties back to back.

Like that also, but could also use Floyd/Monroe/Murton, I'm not pleased with the outfield consistency Lou has put out thus far.

CF and RF are still rotation position for us and part time rotation is 2b with Fontenot getting some at bats.

You could even say Soriano should play about 75% of what he usually plays with his gimp. So it ends up ok with 3 extra competent outfielders. Anytime you play the three posey mentioned you can switch JJ to center since Pie can't hit lefties.

However no matter how you put it we need a solid consistent lineup going into the last couple weeks of the season. Maybe one extra player you can swap in for RF, I guess whoever is hot at the time.
