Because after that Rachel Nichols segment where she tried to bring Kobe's death into it, I became convinced that they will try by any means necessary. Like, theres a huge gap and they know it, but they're looking for a way to make it close anyway.

I dunno. Maybe it's enough for the Nike/LeBron brand to act like he could have won MVP or claim to have been the rightful winner in year 17.

they're trying real hard to give it to LeBron, it's pathetic, if that happens there should be a revolt. heck, it would be an injustice if Giannis isn't a unanimous winner but you know a few ESPN turds are gonna give LeBron the nod because reasons

meanwhile Giannis just dropped another 40/20 game, they hate to see it.

Well, actually... it's the first 40/20 game of his career.

But yeah, he's making a big push and stretching his lead, looking to slam the door. LeBron isn't really close to him.

He had few games with 40 points and 18-19 rebounds in the past. One was on this season also.

He played 4-5 minutes more than his average play time. That's why.

He’s actually the first player in NBA history with at least 41-20-6 in under 40 minutes (and he did it in 35 minutes).

Even with your guys being way underexperienced guarding Giannis, that was some of the best d we've faced with all those young, hustling athletes.

What is everyone complaining about? Which media members are actually making a case for LeBron as MVP outside of Rachel Nichols one time? It's just a question of whether this is an unanimous MVP or not.

Almost every popular outlet I have seen has been pretending that it's a two man race with LeBron and Giannis. Even the shows like First take, Skip and Shannon, etc. All saying that LeBron could still win it and the voters might give it to him because....LeBron basically. I literally just heard Skip Bayless say this a few days ago. Yes the same man who has made a second career out of being a phony LeBron hater.

You guys would be a lot better off if you stopped paying attention to those morons.

Giannis is a mortal lock. There's zero chance he doesn't win it again.

Steven A Smith, Chris Broussard, Skip Bayless, Shannon Sharpe. Basically more than half the ESPN in the span of a week but to be fair they mostly said Lebron "will" win the MVP in the end and not that he is the MVP right now.

Skip Bayless will take Lebron any day from someone who isn't american. Simple as that. He doesn't like Giannis because he is not american and because he is in Milwaukee.

Because he was playing in his favorite team (Spurs). Only for that reason.

James Harden, "worst month of his career" (January)
12 games, 28.6 ppg, .535 TS%

Russell Westbrook, start of the 2020 season
29 games, 24.1 ppg, .505 TS%

Even as someone who's been deeply plugged into the stats all season, I found these splits fairly surprising. I think this says a lot about anchoring/expectations and narratives/media coverage. Food for thought.

The thing is what works best for your team man. You know what you get with peak Harden. You have seen it.
You don't know what you can get with Westbrook on this role and that team construction.
If the Rockets win it all, Westbrook will take the narrative. Maybe rightfully so.

Believe it or not, voter fatigued has been mentioned in regards to Giannis as well. It’s pathetic.
