I remember mcrae was listed as a point guard when the suns had him briefly a few years ago.
I think I remember him having a couple pretty ok games.

I’m fine with signing McRae but I don’t give two **** about his bird rights and don’t care to have him back a year from now. If he’s in our rotation at that point we have bigger problems.

I, for 1 don't wanna trade him but IF we did then what I'm saying is we need to get another all-star level player. Not a bunch of scrubs from other **** teams. This talk is mostly cause everyone is pissed b/c of them taking a massive dump this weekend when they needed it most.
I just don't think you're going to get one. I think you're gonna get a package with picks (probably not an awesome top 3 one), a few young players (not necessarily super high potential) and fillers to make up for Book's high salary.
There's no way. He's been putting up at least 22 a game for the past 4 years as the ONLY option. He sees the best defender every night, multiple dbl teams, no love from the refs and it doesn't matter he still puts up huge numbers. Hes not a chucker like Oubre either he does these things efficiently. He's been off but let's not forget what we have here.
We offer them Booker straight up for Ingram I think they take that and run-Usain Bolt style.
Nobody is doubting his offensive abilities. He's easily a top 10 offensive player in the league. The problem is everyone knows about his poor defense, how he doesn't really take over games like a star should and how he hasn't developed into much of a leader. If we moved on from him it will be for two reasons, we couldn't find a way to win with him or he wants out. In either scenarios, you're not getting the type of return you're looking for.

McRae should be able to address some of the scoring we're missing with Oubre out but he's not moving the needle

Yeah the bird rights thing is pretty inconsequential considering the suns are like 99% chance of clearing most if not all their cap holds this summer and operating as a cap space team. Would matter much more if they were going to be an over the cap team this summer.Blonde wrote:I’m fine with signing McRae but I don’t give two **** about his bird rights and don’t care to have him back a year from now. And yes if mcrae is in the rotation next year that's probably bad but if he plays well down the stretch I wouldn't mind a guy like him as an 11th man type.

Thanks for the fix. We couldn't have swallowed a more bitter pill, than Chriss and Bender STARTING for the WORST team in the NBA and playing against the actual team that drafted them (away no less) and WINNING 99-115. It is almost unforgivable. Like where do we go from here?
Can it get any worse than Saturday Feb 29, 2020... OMG... it just got worse. It was LEAP Day! 4 years from now on the next leap day, we will be reliving the infamous day when not one, but TWO former top 10 picks came back and dominated a Suns team that was SUPPOSED to be the better team. This is one of the worst losses that I can ever remember.

Worse, in four years it will be the 3 championship rings Bender and Chriss wear as bench players for GSW.

The worst I can remember due we actually were "trying" in that game and needed it. There's many guys on that team that wont be playing NBA ball this time next yr and they killed us. Of course that same warrior team got their doors blown off today by the wizards. Embarrassing in every possible description of the word

I'm pretty sure this guy was balling for the Wiz before he got traded. IDK why some people here are complaining about the move because I'm sure he'll take away Okobo's minutes which I'm more than excited about.

He's not a top ten offensive player. He needs screens to do anything. The fact he cannot isolate drops him out of that category. He's not dynamic enough to be top 10.
Lebron, kahwi, giannis, luka, lillard, harden, curry, AD, siakam, butler, beal, ingram, embiid, george, westbrook, durant, irving, walker, cj, tatum, etc, etc, all have better offensive skills, and don't need help with countless screens to get shots off. It's of no wonder they all n many more do better in the clutch.
This board grossly overrates booker. I don't think you grossly overrate him, just were off in saying he's a top 10 offensive player.

I think it's kind of the opposite in that we constantly downgrade our guys and boost the players of other teams. He can isolate, take over games and has delivered for us in the past. I would put him below those players you mentioned but that doesn't say much seeing as half of that list is otw to the HOF and every single one of them have had a better supporting cast/coaching staff/front office/owner then Booker has had to deal with over these last 5 years. There's no universe that we live in that Booker couldn't get a better return then a non-top 3 pick and some guys who may or may not some upside, provided JJ and Monty haven't gone insane. That's crazy talk.
His defense could use some work but with Ayton back there and improving every game on that end, I bet as a team they all get better knowing they have some help back there. We all watched him play his ass off and actually forced a few misses from Kawhi the other night. Now I think the suns might be better off with Ayton as the focus and Booker as his running mate but that's not saying that Booker is overrated and a bum. If we put him on the block we'd get a lot more then you guys are predicting-not that I even think we should trade him for that matter.

How about top 5 among guards in offense?
I'd only have Dame, Harden, Jimmy and Kemba over him.

I disagree with that first bolded.
I haven't made a prediction about what we can get for him. There's almost always a gm that'll pay, especially high since he just made an all star team. We might actually be able to get something substantial.

You are correct sir, the dude was hitting shots, you know those things nobody on our team hits off of the bench or in crunch time!!

Im not 100% about Kemba but I would add Ben Simmons to that list of guys I'd take over Booker. We'd have to get rid of Rubio but Simmons is worth trading Book for
Edit: Just saw that you mean offense only guards. That changes things but if Simmons ever gets a shot that's future MVP
