Yes we should have.
If you saw the difference in attitude of everyone yesterday compared to today, it's hard to not to think they tried to give the Grizz a little boost there so they could play them in the 1st round. Sure, they swept NO, but a tougher series than MEM when you get down to it. Better matchups. The MEM game was nothing short of the Lakers taking a dump on the floor. It was pretty suspect. And they beat NO sans AC and AD the next day? Cmown, nah...
Anyway, as to your point, if you want to LM more and don't care about the principle or whatever, there's still time at the end of the year. Long stretch of home crap at the end. You can bet we're not gonna be full bore Mad Max racin to that finish line. If they are in that mode (coaches/players), then that's the best time to do it. They gotta hold onto that 1st West seed til it's firmly in the bag if that's what they're actually doing NOW. No use in giving it up after battling all the way to March 1st. If they did that, the first reaction would be, "Why the hell did they kick ass until March the 1st before they started LMing everyone?"
Lemme put it this way, this is the first time they've won both at NO in the Pelicans' era. They last did it in 2013 in the Hornets' era. They last went 7-1 against both of em since 2009 (title season). If it were easier, they'd have done it more since then. They've kicked ass this RS. Bucks' record blots out the Sun, but for West Coast standards... Road swept: SAS, DAL, NO, OKC, DEN, POR, (GS)
