I’m happy the Lakers finally chose between cook and Daniels
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team

Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

It was bound to happen. He wasn't playing and when he did he didn't do what he was signed up for (shooting 3's) I'm assuming this means were signing someone else or else we would have kept Cousins.

Would've been better for the team if they had cut Rondo instead.

Sounds like Waiters is a done deal then.

My preference is Lance, JR, Dion

Lance fits the ball handler, 3pt shooter, and familiarity with some of the players and Frank as a coach.

JR is battle tested and playoff tested, a champion, swing man size, and he can actually defend wings

Dion brings me too many quiestions

Just a huge NO! to JR. We don't need another knuckle head on this team. What he once had he no longer has. He was so slow laterally last year he'll offer no defense whatsoever. He's Dudley 2.0

Lance is an enigma.... he's got talent but can't put it together for longer than 2 possessions in a row.

Waiters is another mentally fragile player.

Give me Daniels if this is the choice.

I'm still hoping someone decent like Teague gets bought out so we don't have to sign up for the edibles king experience.

Either Lance or Johnathan Simmons.
Waiter has too many problem with no defense
JR regressed? If not, I will give a very strong consideration to signing of him if lance or Simmons is unavailable.

The problem with lance is his contract with the team in CBA. He checked most of the box os what we need. Couldn't find a much better wing in the market at this moment.

here's a name no-one's mentioned

tim frazier, recently waived by the piston, 6'0" floor general, average shooter, had a down year in detroit, but he's impressed in past years for the bucks and he's got chemistry with markieff already

Makes sense for him, he wants to get more playing time I'm sure.

wasnt a fan of troy daniels. probably my least favorite on the team. the one thing he could do, he couldnt do that well. i dunno, he didnt seem to have any urgency in defensive schemes as well.

I agree, for me execution is premium esp when possessions are a lot more valuable in the playoffs. All the prospects look good creating scoring opportunities for themselves but they also have been known to make crucial mistakes and their efficiency is low. A bad pass here and there= more turnovers, missed rotation, a low percentage shot that could have gone to AD or Lebron etc etc.
I would rather have Troy Daniels practice hard and take 27 footers esp when the Lakers are bleeding for points than these guys.
Miami has been great in putting their players in situations to succeed, finding players like Whiteside, James Johnson then developing them, if Waiters can't fit there, just like in OKC, then I don't see him fitting here. I hope I'm wrong.

I think it’s like this;

They’re bringing in JR for a workout because LeBron. They’re bringing in Waiters for a workout because they want to show LBJ and Klutch and AD that they’re turning every stone.

I personally think that they should call up THT, but LeBron and AD need convincing that he’s better than the other options left. Now, not in a few years.

THT is already ready to take Troy’s minutes if you ask me.

No to JR
Dunno of Dion’s current game.

I think Waiters has more to offer on the court than Smith, but Smith is less of an unknown mentally, so it's which crap sandwich tastes less crappy, in a way...
That said, I get the gut feeling Waiters just needed a change of scenery. Smith needs more brain cells.
Unless something in the interviews told me different, I'd probably roll the dice with Waiters if he can truly play like the report says.
