It is Jayson Tatum's birthday tomorrow. If I had to guess - the boys partied it up last night, and JT and Marcus are hungover today. They'll be fine tomorrow.

https://www.masslive.com/celtics/2020/03/kemba-walker-looking-forward-to-boston-celtics-limited-return-its-all-about-the-long-haul.html
BOSTON - Kemba Walker isn’t used to missing this much time.
“I’ve had a blessed career as far as health thus far,” he said, standing in front a large media contingent after the Boston Celtics’ Monday practice. “This year, it’s been a little up and down.”

“I’m trying...this is all different,” he said, “It’s about me understanding what this is about and being able to compete at a high level for the playoffs. That’s really all I’m thinking about.”

When he does play, he’s going to be on a minutes restriction, which will likely mean him sitting on the bench for stretches he’d normally play.

“Whatever minutes he plays, he’s going to have to play it at full throttle, and that’s part of getting back,” Brad Stevens said. “But that’s why he’ll also be limited.”

The big picture is to have Walker join in the big-minute fun the rest of his teammates enjoyed against the Rockets. Most of the starters played close to or more than 40 minutes on Saturday night, and considering the lack of scoring punch off the bench, most will be asked to do that throughout however long a playoff run the Celtics make.

Walker is not used to playoff “runs,” per se. He’s barely used to the playoffs at all, and for the first time in his career, he’s not looking at vacation plans in April. Add that to the preseason FIBA World Cup and Walker’s body has been asked to carry an unprecedented load.

“I’ve had a long summer, I’ve played a lot of basketball. That’s the only reason it’s kind of flared up on me like that,” Walker said. "I’ve played a lot of basketball over the years. It happens. I’ve been blessed over the course of my career to be pretty healthy, but it happens, man. We all get injured at some point. Just gotta deal with it.”

This team is unlikely to ever be wholly healthy. Too many players are crucial, and some of those really throw their bodies around.

Nope. I think it’s clear Kembas knee is far worse than what they are telling us publicly and they are going to have to manage it the rest of the season. Won’t be surprised at all if he has offseason surgery

I did wonder about it, though.

Happy Mike's back. Love the update on him, he's a part of the team. :D
Good assessment:

If any player gets the coronavirus that **** is gonna spread through the league so fast. Are there protocols in place if half the league has a contagious influenza? All these sweaty dudes licking their hands, touching the ball, breathing all over each other, traveling every other day.

Sucks that we have the opportunity to tie Toronto, but it looks like Brad and Co. doesn't care about it enough since Tatum will be sitting this one out.

If they can't beat the Nets without Tatum and Smart, this team isn't nearly as good as I think.

I don't think it's a measure of how good the Celtics are as much as how the Nets tend to play better against us. Can't explain it, but there's an inner Prokhorov (the realgm poster) on those Nets that are always out to get us.

This is likely when the Gordon injury occurred, hopefully he dodged something terrible and it sounds like he did.

Wow Javonte is moving up in the world. Got minutes for the first time in a while last night, now he even makes the injury list. That's a status symbol on this team.
