Nuggets reach Buyout with McRae

Post#1 » by DaFan334 » Sun Mar 1, 2020 8:13 pm

Read on Twitter

I assume he is just tyring to get a new contract on a team that will play him and isn't concerned about team success. It makes sense but isn't the best for our shooting depth. I am assuming his defense or willingness to play defense was why he found minutes with the Wizards but none with the Nugs.

I wonder if we bring in a vet to fill a void.

We traded for a Guy who turned out to be bought out.

Ridiculous unless they plan to play Barton SG exlusively

I actually think this has Malone's finger prints all over it. The front office saw we needed a scorer off the bench, went an got one, than Malone refuses to play him while complaining that the bench is having trouble scoring when MPJ is out.

One positive thought (interpret wishful thinking ) is we could bring Bol Bol up with the empty roster spot, actually get him onto the roster to get him some practice with the team (we all know Malone won't give him real PT ).

What about Allen Crabbe? He would be a good backup SG, the market is extremely dry at this point in time.

From all the play off teams at the moment, only Clippers (very deep backcourt), Lakers (who are more focused towards Waiters or JR Smith) and the Nuggets have one open spot in the roster

I don't think it matters who the Nuggets add as the 15th player. Malone has his nine, maybe ten players and that's who he is going to play. Even if we have a major injury or two, players 11-15 just won't see enough playing time to matter.
